I am 50% of the way through chemo. (second time around)(different primary)

My DS (18) has just been diagnosed with depression I think me being diagnosed again was the tipping point.

Due to above I am having to delegate Christmas, it will get done, it did before just not my way.

DH retiring in three years, should be more than enough to live on, but at the moment I am worrying (Like I couldn't worry about that closer to the time) Hmm

Sausage rolls, my job, ditto mince pies.........if they don't happen my DH and my DS will suck it up. Just me worrying.

DS struggling in college and have to go to a meeting on Wednesday

So if some of the night shift would like to come and mind my ,worries whilst I attempt to sleep, it would be gratefully received.

Feel free to add your own, just writing that down has helped.

I'm here too. Got some space for worries if needed.
This thread is filling up fast.

I’m here too , with Madame La Spot , who has decided that as I am ill , she must not leave me unsupervised at any time . So even though I’m sitting reading , she wants to join in too . If your worries want to tuck themselves in for a bedtime story , they’re more than welcome .

Rest easy x

I’m here for the night watch, along with my furry fiend. Pass those worries over and then snuggle yourself down and get some sleep.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 18/02/2020 04:37

I'm here@HannaYeah. You can leave it all here with me. I'm well rested after three day weekend so am more than up for calming even a biggie.

I hope you can sleep now. Cozy in. Close your eyes. That's it. Shhhh.

HannaYeah · 18/02/2020 03:54

Ok, from bad to worse here. I haven’t dropped my basket though and that’s largely because of you lot.

I’m leaving tonight’s very big worries right here. Whomever comes along can take as much or as little as they like.

Flowers for all who visit this thread, to pick up, drop off or just read along.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 17/02/2020 00:06

I’m also here to take care of any worries.
The wind is howling here so I’ve got a feeling I won’t be sleeping tonight, they can snuggle under the covers and keep me company.

HannaYeah · 16/02/2020 22:11

@numbersstation absolutely. Much appreciated.

NumbersStation · 16/02/2020 22:09

I’m happy to share the load with @Bakedpotatoandgin if you are ok with that @HannaYeah

Sorry that things aren’t great but hopefully we can aid sleep and get rid of the nausea. Sad

All worries squashed under me and a big old quilt. Tanning the Baileys so I won’t even fidget in the night. Promise.

HannaYeah · 16/02/2020 22:08

Thanks @bakedpotatoandgin.

That means so much right now.

Bakedpotatoandgin · 16/02/2020 22:07

I've got it Hanna. I'll sit on it for you

HannaYeah · 16/02/2020 22:05

@bakedpotatoandgin

I have a biggy. Please could you take it? Whole thing makes me nauseated but not a thing I can do.

Bakedpotatoandgin · 16/02/2020 21:36

I'm here to take away any worries tonight, they can help me procrastinate until ridiculously late at night then be forced to do some work for me

NumbersStation · 16/02/2020 13:15

So lovely that you at managing to sleep, even with a snottery DH Smile - banishing isn’t always a bad thing!

Enjoy your blustery and soggy walk Smile

girlofthenorth · 16/02/2020 13:11

Hello just checking in after an absence- I've been sleeping well as DH has been in spare room as he has an awful cold and I wake him up in the night because I'm awake ..... we wake each other up!
I'm here to take care of any worries for the day --- they can come on a very soggy dog walk .....

Bakedpotatoandgin · 14/02/2020 11:48

Thanks for the encouraging words, it actually went fine and I'm so glad it's over. 85 you made me laugh, I hope you can find some relief in a confusing time

85notout · 14/02/2020 09:47

I'm sometimes a sweary person, today more than usual.
I'm laughing at your message so that's a bonus.
Yeah, it's a roller coaster of anything from sad to happy to disbelief to anger. I've not experienced it before and it's so strange.

Warmfirechocolate · 14/02/2020 08:27

@85notout bereavement must be a bit of a rollercoaster. Catching you at odd times with different feelings. It’s unfathomable, that someone has gone. Bewildering. I’m not a big swearer on mumsnet but your feisty post in response go baked potato made me smile too today!

I can send your worries to fuckety fuck if it helps too?! Flowers

NumbersStation · 14/02/2020 08:21

@Bakedpotatoandgin

I so hope that @Warmfirechocolate’s
lovely post has soothed your anxiety about today. Best wishes Flowers

85notout · 14/02/2020 08:20

Thanks for the kind messages. If anybody has any worries that they want to have a good telling off then I'm your woman.

85notout · 14/02/2020 08:19

In return could someone please take the anxiety attack type things I keep having about being assessed for dyspraxia today and tell them to fuck off?

Yeah, I can tell them to fuck off to the far side of fuck. I hope it goes well today.

Warmfirechocolate · 14/02/2020 08:11

@Bakedpotatoandgin hope the dyspraxia assessment goes well. I know what they do and it’s very nice, just some exercises really and they observe, and it’s so helpful to know. Anxiety just descends anytime, doesn’t it, will try and return numbers favour and take your anxiety for you. Flowers

Warmfirechocolate · 14/02/2020 08:08

Thanks @NumbersStation
It’s amazing how reading your post has lifted some of my worries already! Smile

NumbersStation · 14/02/2020 07:02

@85notout
I’m sorry for your loss. Grief brings all manner of emotions and it is tough.

I’m thinking of you and hope you get a sleep. It won’t make things go away but perhaps you can find peace in a lovely dream until you find a gentle peace in waking hours Flowers

NumbersStation · 14/02/2020 06:58

@Bakedpotatoandgin

I have you. I don’t know your worries but it is robbing you of kip and that isn’t tolerated here. Smile We’ll get that nipped in the bud! Sleep easy and I hope today isn’t too rotten for you flower Flowers
