I am 50% of the way through chemo. (second time around)(different primary)

My DS (18) has just been diagnosed with depression I think me being diagnosed again was the tipping point.

Due to above I am having to delegate Christmas, it will get done, it did before just not my way.

DH retiring in three years, should be more than enough to live on, but at the moment I am worrying (Like I couldn't worry about that closer to the time) Hmm

Sausage rolls, my job, ditto mince pies.........if they don't happen my DH and my DS will suck it up. Just me worrying.

DS struggling in college and have to go to a meeting on Wednesday

So if some of the night shift would like to come and mind my ,worries whilst I attempt to sleep, it would be gratefully received.

Feel free to add your own, just writing that down has helped.

I’ve got broad shoulders and a good back, I’m more than happy to carry some burdens.
Pass them over here please.

IncrediblySadToo · 08/01/2020 01:54

@TidaQuel

I’m sorry to hear about your Mum. I went through that with my Grandad. It took me a long time to come to terms with his decidion.

I can hold onto your worry for you. 🌷

colouringinpro · 08/01/2020 01:48

Hanna totally x a million.

Kindness itself.

colouringinpro · 08/01/2020 01:46

once, betty ❤

HannaYeah · 08/01/2020 01:43

@myidentitymycrisis

I’m kind of struggling about my job lately, also. Like you, I’m not sure really what I think. So send that here and we can merge the concerns and hopefully soon sort it all out for both of us.

HannaYeah · 08/01/2020 01:41

I believe we have created one of the best spaces on the Internet.

I literally picture myself “babysitting” worries. And it’s odd because I don’t mind having them with me; they aren’t terrible as guests like they are when we’ve conceived them ourselves, so to speak.

I like to imagine that when they go back to their owner they are better behaved, less worrisome and not so much trouble.

myidentitymycrisis · 08/01/2020 01:36

I’m unable to sleep and I don’t even know what is bothering me. I went back to work after Christmas yesterday and I’m unhappy in my job, so that’s probably it.

bettybattenburg · 08/01/2020 01:35

I'll help you out with those worries

Onceuponatimethen · 08/01/2020 01:31

I’m sorry to hear what you are going through Tida and colouring. Please do lay those troubles here just until morning if you can and see if you can get some sleep. Sending you both a virtual hug each Flowers

colouringinpro · 08/01/2020 01:26

such a beautiful thread. I'm worried my dear ds will not recover from the horrendous amount of trauma he's experienced. So much and so bad that it has quite literally paralysed him. And I'm worried that my mental health will never recover from the same trauma and the trauma of him being so badly affected. I feel like my heart is being ripped into pieces.

TidaQuel · 08/01/2020 01:20

I’m struggling tonight. My DM has decided to stop chemotherapy and opt for a better quality for the time she’s got left. It’s the beginning of the end and I’m struggling.

NumbersStation · 07/01/2020 23:59

Don’t waste your bubbly on a worry! Pop it in soda water. It won’t know the difference but you will Grin

Have a lovely celebration @2018SoFarSoGreat Smile

2018SoFarSoGreat · 07/01/2020 23:53

Hello lovely guardians. Here i am, signing on for the evening. if anyone needs me (well, my afternoon but you know what I mean. I like to think of it as being on the WG Backshift :)

I'm taking one of my staff for champagne to celebrate an anniversary, so hurry up if you want your worry to come along - nothing like drowning in bubbles to keep these pesky critters silenced.

Muir23 · 07/01/2020 23:27

Thank you @Hannayeah and @Numbersstation. Lovely thread x

NumbersStation · 07/01/2020 23:25

Ah, the feline worrybotherer is on duty! Your worries will be whizzied round that much they won’t know they are worries any more 😊

Sleep well to all those who need sleep 💐

mrsmuddlepies · 07/01/2020 23:21

I found this thread by accident. It is a wonderful idea and it is MN at it's best. X

HannaYeah · 07/01/2020 23:20

LisaLisa, we’ve got it! Try to sleep tonight, I’m sure you need it.

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 07/01/2020 23:19

I’m also signing in for worry watching duty. Pop them on the bed with me and the cat and we’ll snuggle them into submission. He’s sitting on my shoulder and purring in my ear in anticipation.

NumbersStation · 07/01/2020 23:14

Best wishes for your daughter @Muir23 💐

@HannahYeah - snow? Eeeee.

We have hail but snow is forecast for Wednesday Sad - it can stay away!

Hope you are cosy Smile

lisalisa · 07/01/2020 23:14

I haven’t slept properly for ages . Trying to divorce a bullying ex whilst trying to make sure my little ones don’t get affected too much . Holding a narcissistic and dangerous mother at bay too .
Would be wonderful to know that someone could hold onto this lot so I can try to get some sleep tonight ?

HannaYeah · 07/01/2020 23:10

Muir23 I can take your worry about your DD off your hands for the night. It’s early here and quiet and snowing.

Muir23 · 07/01/2020 23:08

Just found this lovely, lovely thread. Happy to hold anyone’s worries as not able to sleep tonight so far. My worry is that my DD6 is having surgery next week and I’m feeling really anxious about it

NumbersStation · 07/01/2020 23:07

Oops, cross post. I’m on a night shift and can take over when you go to your bed @plominoagain Smile

NumbersStation · 07/01/2020 23:05

@Sia lovely, pass your worries to me.

Your precious little one may not have a tip-top dad but I’m sensing he has a bloody wonderful mum Smile

You are seeking help NOW which is all that matters. You can’t change what might or could’ve been. Our lives wouldn’t be what they were meant to be.

You are strong and you’ve got this really. You know you have. But until you come to realise that deep down, I’ve got your worries and will hold them for you every step of the way.

((ruddy big hug)) a tuck in and a big sleep well to you flower 💐

Siablue · 07/01/2020 23:03

Thank you Flowers. I think my brain needs a good clean out with a mop and bucket.
