I hope the literary TC will not object to being referred to as a thing.

Stripey Thug and Basil are both on the patio - just under two metres from each other. They're clearly paying attention to the news

I am laughing imagining them pretending not to have seen each other Grumpy. ‘Oh, TC, I was miles away, just thinking about some cat treats. I didn’t realise you were on the doorstep/water butt/table etc.’

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/03/2020 21:18

@nettie434

They do have mild run-ins occasionally (especially Sybil and TC) but they usually choose to ignore each other and pretend they haven't seen each other.

Thanks for sympathy and hints for the TC mauling. To be honest I've had cats for so long that I just accept the odd savaging as part of the deal.

Also glad that I've been keeping you all cheerful in these times of doom and gloom Grin.

If you keep tea tree oil in med cupboard it takes the pain right out of cat scratches.

I used to use it loads on dh when Asbo was a kitten.

Supersimkin2 · 22/03/2020 18:53

TC is flirting with Lenny. Maybe that's why Sybil's got the arse with him.

Superb shots, by the way. Keep us all sane and giggly.

nettie434 · 22/03/2020 14:38

Ouch, that does look nasty Grumpyoldpersonwithcats. Does TC ever fight with your cats or are you his only victim? Thanks for the photos by the way - photos of ‘normal’ things much appreciated!

AnneKipanki · 22/03/2020 13:49

Oh that looks nasty @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats z

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/03/2020 13:36

TC has moved nearer the door (bloody ninja cat).

Current positions.

And now Lenny is having a look.

All is very peaceful with the cats at present - TC really does seem to think he lives here.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/03/2020 13:21

Ours are very sensibly keeping the correct social distance from TC.

OP posts:
ShadyAcromat · 22/03/2020 13:12

Good grief. You can look but you can't touch Shock

BovaryX · 22/03/2020 13:09

TC looking very dapper! Good to see he is unperturbed by the pandemic. He certainly has some lethal scimitar claws though...

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/03/2020 12:20

NDN joked that he'd dip TC's paws in detol just in case he'd caught anything off me Grin.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/03/2020 12:15

He’s social distancing.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 22/03/2020 12:13

Unfortunately I made the mistake of saying hello and stroking his head. Full on attack through my jumper...

So TC is taking advantage of the facilities and looking cute and relaxed on the outside table.

Very risky business @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats .

Allergictoironing · 18/03/2020 18:37

What, no blowing raspberries on the floofy tummies? Sad Too late for me now, may as well continue Wink.

Though I don't think I would do that to TC...

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 18/03/2020 17:50

I don't kiss cats (I have been known to rub noses with them though Grin).
I certainly wouldn't try either with TC.

OP posts:
ShadyAcromat · 18/03/2020 11:33

Are we double daring Grumpy to kiss TC now?

Want2beme · 18/03/2020 11:24

YetAnotherSpartacus it was just last week I heard something about not kissing pets because things are uncertain. They probably can't catch the virus, but since hearing that, I'm just being cautious about kissing them. They'll be fine, I just want to be careful, that's all.

BovaryX · 18/03/2020 10:09

Blimey, is cat kissing common? If I tried to 'kiss' either of my wild felines, I would require a trip to ER... As for tummy tickling? Hell no. Wouldn't dream of attempting that move....

YetAnotherSpartacus · 18/03/2020 09:30

Save cat kisses until this has all passed - we can pass it onto them, apparently

Really? I read we can't. Do you have a source for this?

www.pdsa.org.uk/what-we-do/blog/vet-qa-can-pets-catch-coronavirus

I have heard that if you give a cat a kiss whilst infected and then someone else kisses the cat they can be infected from the virus you left behind in your saliva from the kiss as well as having a nasty case of cat-scratch fever if the cat feels over-kissed

BovaryX · 18/03/2020 09:22

I'll also have even more time to report on TC's escapades shock

Excellent news Grumpy! Looking forward to updates about The Thane and his stripy shenanigans! He is a ray of Bengal sunshine in troubled times.....
