TC's face wasn't squashed by the way - he was hissing at me and attacking my foot. It goes without saying that we are exceedingly careful not to trap any of TC in the door (despite how difficult he makes it).

In terms of Karl's haircut - yes it is taking for ever to grow back - I'm really not considering trimming the other cats in the same way so he doesn't feel left out Shock

DS1 heard one of the cats miaowing outside the front door about 15 minutes ago. He got up to let it in and it wasn't one of ours...

It gives me such joy to think of Karl walking around like that, knowing there's people he will see out on his travels who think he's been deliberately groomed to look like that Grin

Even when @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats is awoken by the Facehugger position, as performed by an 8-kilo Bengal cat, he will only grudgingly concede that just one rogue agent performed a lone incursion, never to be repeated.

Morale is all in wartime. Grumpy's stance is truly Churchillian in the face of the Cat Who Acts Like Hitler.

Incidentally, Churchill changed the law on Endangered Species during WWII because someone gave him a tiger cub and he insisted it lived with him in Downing Street. The episode was the beginning of what is now CITES, the international convention that protects the larger kitty.

TC has NOT won the war. Sucessfully breaking in yesterday (and stealing supplies) was merely winning a battle

You mean TC has won yet one more battle in the campaign for dominance of the Grumpy household, he's playing the long game every victory is a step forward!

Yeah, he'll have won the war when he and Sybil have a candlelit dinner at your dining table and spend the night curled up together on your bed

I foresee that happening sooner than you think, with you as the maitre'd Grumpy Grin
