So NC for this as not sure if neighbours are on here.

I am off today & woke up to the sound of doors banging and loud voices.

Have a glance out of bedroom window & there are 2 vans & a land rover parked on my ACTUAL drive!

Now I guess it's easily mistaken as a public car park Hmmso don't say anything immediately but once I'm up and toddler is dressed I go downstairs to see.

My next door neighbours are away on holiday. But of a weird driveway as their house has its own but it's round the back of ours and ours is at front so if you use sat nav it brings you to ours as their house is other side of our driveway ifyswim.

Diagram to show you what I mean.

Anyway they are unloading tools etc onto big sheets on my drive and walking over grass to neighbours

I said to them it was a private drive and could they move onto neighbours and they said they won't be long Angry

I was too shocked to say much more than 'no please move now'

Grrrrrrr!

Boo; I can't see the second diagram.

lovesapinot · 07/08/2019 11:10

@balonzz it's not even my best handwriting! Thanks though.

I've blocked them in and their damn tools.

He said what are you doing so I just looked at him and repeated you're on MY driveway! He says I'm going in a bit.

I'm now stood by doorway watching him! (Although I'll have to love so he can get out. Think I need a shower....)

Is there any way you can park them in?

Oakmaiden · 07/08/2019 11:04

I wouldn't want to meet one of the dogs around your place - they must be huge...

MadamWaffle · 07/08/2019 11:03

Already jealous!

That went quite wrong...

ElizaDee · 07/08/2019 11:03

Actually, isn't there that law where people CAN legally park on other people's driveways?

MadamWaffle · 07/08/2019 11:02

I'm skew sty jealous of your spaceship stamp.

rainbowstardrops · 07/08/2019 11:02

Bloody CFs!!! I hate people who think they can do what the hell they like. Grrrr

To the pp who asked why it was a problem if they're not blocking the OP in ........ would you think it's ok for a group of people to pitch up in your garden for a picnic if you weren't using it?!

By the way OP, your diagrams are probably the best I've ever seen on a CF parking thread Grin

balonzz · 07/08/2019 11:00

Another admirer of your diagram, OP. Plus, I like your handwriting.

diddl · 07/08/2019 10:59

Have you reversed over their stuff yet Op?

It's disgraceful that they didn't move straight away.

Is the name of the company on the van so that you can complain about their behaviour?

olderthanilookapparently · 07/08/2019 10:57

Love the paw print stamp, if they don't move you can put a rocket in the exhaust and use the other stamp!

BuckingFrolics · 07/08/2019 10:57

lol at the flying saucers.

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 07/08/2019 10:55

Literally just marking place in hope of more diagrams...

ProfessorSlocombe · 07/08/2019 10:54

Sadly of course trespass is a civil wrong so the police won't do anything but they may not know that.

Trespass itself is a civil wrong, but refusing to move when asked makes it a criminal offence. And you are allowed to use "reasonable force" to remove a trespasser from your property.

Obviously every situation is unique, but once a call to the police has been made reporting a trespass, you can get their attention by asking for advice on what constitutes reasonable force so you can take action yourself ...

lovesapinot · 07/08/2019 10:54

Bloody neighbours. Bet they've told them they can park their for easier access!

We say hi over fence but not much else. He's a copper so keeps himself to himself. I'm surprised he is allowing people in the house whilst away!

Just getting ready to go out for morning so will lock gates so they can't get back in!

What's the problem if they're not blocking you in? 🤷🏼‍♀️

They’re on the OP’s property. They’ve been asked to move and haven’t.

There you go; two problems right there.

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/08/2019 10:51

Nope no drawing

Mummyoflittledragon · 07/08/2019 10:50

Idiots the only correct response was, sorry I’ll move right away. If they havent moved, you could pick up the blanket and throw the tools off your land. Tea break my arse.

Comefromaway · 07/08/2019 10:50

I work for a construction firm by the way!

lovesapinot · 07/08/2019 10:49

Updated drawing.

What's the problem if they're not blocking you in

They are trespassing, it's private property. You don't park on someone else's driveway!

OP go out and say they have a choice, they either move NOW or you will call the police. Which is it to be?

Sadly of course trespass is a civil wrong so the police won't do anything but they may not know that.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 07/08/2019 10:47

Excellent use of toddler's art supplies- bravo!

Comefromaway · 07/08/2019 10:47

I LOVE the paw print stamps.

But seriously, these builders will only learn to not take the pee and treat womeone like lesser beings if you assert yourself and go and out and tell them that if they do not move IMMEDIATELY you will be blocking them in and will not be held responsible for any damage accidentally caused by your child playing on HIS drive.
