So NC for this as not sure if neighbours are on here.

I am off today & woke up to the sound of doors banging and loud voices.

Have a glance out of bedroom window & there are 2 vans & a land rover parked on my ACTUAL drive!

Now I guess it's easily mistaken as a public car park Hmmso don't say anything immediately but once I'm up and toddler is dressed I go downstairs to see.

My next door neighbours are away on holiday. But of a weird driveway as their house has its own but it's round the back of ours and ours is at front so if you use sat nav it brings you to ours as their house is other side of our driveway ifyswim.

Diagram to show you what I mean.

Anyway they are unloading tools etc onto big sheets on my drive and walking over grass to neighbours

I said to them it was a private drive and could they move onto neighbours and they said they won't be long Angry

I was too shocked to say much more than 'no please move now'

Grrrrrrr!

Pretty sure OP's home/car insurance is based on her gate being locked overnight, and as such she can't unlock it. 😈

Mitzimaybe · 07/08/2019 18:20

Well even if you did go home and unlock the gate, as some total stranger from the local Faceache who is doing you a favour has parked across the entrance, he still wouldn't be able to get out.

SauvignonBlanche · 07/08/2019 18:18

What are your daily parking charges? High, I hope?

IvanaPee · 07/08/2019 18:14

@bettyjune07 what was the tinsel on the no parking sign?!

skittycat · 07/08/2019 18:13

I agree about the stamp ... looks like Saturn to me #teamsaturn

RandomFriday · 07/08/2019 18:13

So is this the oven cleaning can or the plastering van?

NeutralJanet · 07/08/2019 18:12

I can imagine the Facebook drama, its like curtain twitchers united on my local facebook page. Hopefully it will lose the company a good bit of business as a consequence of his behaviour. There's a local tradesman near me who I have vowed never to use because I've seen his van parked twattishly many times on the school run, on the zig zags or blocking people's drives. He seems to think he can do whatever he wants. Not a smart move when your name is in big orange letters on the side of the van.

bettyjune07 · 07/08/2019 18:12

Hahahaha, OP you are the parking thread queen. Can this be put into the classics thread? This is better than the tinsel on the no parking sign thread.

Troels · 07/08/2019 18:12

Hope you neighbour friend is helping blcok him and and keeping watch.
Did you make sure the compant name was prominant when you posted on the local facebook, I hope they get some phone calls on what a knob he's being.

spiffington · 07/08/2019 18:11

This might be controversial, but......I don't think it's a space ship stamp, I think it's Saturn!?
#teamsaturn.

RosaWaiting · 07/08/2019 18:10

OP you’ve done a great job here. What an utter wanker.

IvanaPee · 07/08/2019 18:10

@lovesapinot have the neighbours parked over your drive?

Just in case your dh goes home and lets him out!

Can you stretch being out till even 7.30? Just to really piss him off! 😂😂

MrsMozartMkII · 07/08/2019 18:09

If he has tools he may well jimmy the gate lock.

This isn't going to do the company any favours in the area. Why are people such idiots, especially in this SM driven times.

HJWT2 · 07/08/2019 18:08

🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Op you are our hero!

isabellerossignol · 07/08/2019 18:07

Your diagrams are a thing of beauty. This is marvellous entertainment. Bravo.

loubielou31 · 07/08/2019 18:07

You are brilliant. Although actually I think you should ring back and say that your DH will be home "in a minute" and make him hand around and wait for at least another hour. Otherwise he might decide you really are out all night, get a cab home and you will be stuck with the van on your drive tomorrow as well.

crosspelican · 07/08/2019 18:07

Top thread! What time do you actually have to go home, @lovesapinot ?

Can your neighbour tip you off when he has left (sans van, presumably)?

yikesanddang · 07/08/2019 18:06

LOve love this! But the drawings would have been better if you had actually drawn the roads so we could see how the cars enter the driveways. Other than that, they are brill. The last image with labels pointing to where the roads are helped.

BruceAndNosh · 07/08/2019 18:05

Are you actually on a night shift or just a pretend one?

PepsiLola · 07/08/2019 18:05

If he damaged gate, police could be involved and the reputation of the know company could be in tatters as its on the local fb page

usersouthcoast · 07/08/2019 18:05

I think he will cut your lock.... and probably be back to finish working next door tomorrow.

Can your neighbour video him if he goes to gate again?

TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup · 07/08/2019 18:05

Fantastic, love a good live parking thread! What an arrogant arsehole, how dare he laugh! Hope your DH comes to meet you and you go have a lovely dinner or something! Wee glass of Wine

StoorieHoose · 07/08/2019 18:05

If he damages the gate then it will be.pretty obvious who had damaged it and his employer will have to pay to get them fixed

BruceAndNosh · 07/08/2019 18:03

I'm a bit worried that he's going to damage your gate so that he can get out
