Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

I missed this! The one with his paws over his eyes is gorgeous. Is he staying home more now?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 25/09/2019 18:00

The photo of him barrelling up our steps chasing Karl does contrast somewhat with him being all cute in his own house this morning in his cat tower.

That middle photo of TC 🙀🙀🙀

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/09/2019 09:43

Actually, I was wondering if he had colour changing superpowers. He also seems bigger when he is at your house.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/09/2019 13:12

You don't mean?

There could be two of him??
Shock

He definitely looks much lighter in bright sunlight. It's all a bit shady at the front of the house this morning.

Is it just me or does TC seem to change colour regularly?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 20/09/2019 12:43

Just heard a kerfuffle (should that be kerfluffle?) outside. Opened the door to see TC terrorising Karl.

So much for successful Brexit negotiations...

Coastergirl glad I'm not the only person with a TC

TheLongRider Sybil? Stand-offish? How very dare you. Grin

I've just discovered this thread and I love it! Following for updates.

At my old house there was a local boy who adopted us. My two accepted him but it ruined the relationship between them. My boy bonded with the newcomer and my girl took the huff. Such a shame. We became friends with the owner of our visitor and discovered his name was Sausage! He was a sweetie. Lived with us officially for about six months when neighbour moved and couldn't take him at first (complicated situation)

Fast forward a couple of years to now. New house. Girl cat unfortunately no longer with us 😢 Now have my boy cat and a boy kitten. We have our own visiting thug cat! I'm glad he has a bell on his collar do I can hear when he sneaks in for food. Not friendly with us or the cats, he hisses and swipes and blocks my boys from getting into their own house. I'll see if I can find a photo. He's very handsome with a big bushy tail.

Hmmm I can't find him, but see my gorgeous two boys.

Ears are pricked, neither is relaxed.

TheLongRider · 16/09/2019 12:45

TC should be hired by Brexit negotiators. He has managed to come to an agreement with the stand-offish Sybil since April. No red lines have been broken yet and your neighbours are his back stop.

He'd be perfect.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 16/09/2019 12:04

An uneasy truce ... they are back to back and I am sure that neither is fully relaxed, but it's a step in the right direction.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/09/2019 22:03

Whoah - that looks suspiciously like A Truce ..............?

Grambler · 15/09/2019 20:34

She's never fallen for his schtick has she Shock I had higher hopes for Sybil.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 15/09/2019 20:29

DW spotted this earlier today Shock.

Not quite sure what to make of it?

Ah yes Spartacus, this is why he needs all the extra protein Shock

YetAnotherSpartacus · 14/09/2019 13:27

I reckon it's all muscle. He's building himself up in preparation for the invasion.

Nonstopbuttmachine · 14/09/2019 13:24

TC is not fat! Shock He's curvy, or as I used to describe my old chubby lazy girl - voluptuous Grin

InTropicalTrumpsLand · 13/09/2019 13:19

Just found this thread, and I now think my black rescue has some Bengal in her! What annoys me the most is that she's so sweet with guests, letting herself be petted and complimented, but clearly she knows I love her too much to actually be angry when she bites me, so she does it with all her might: wraps her arms around mine while she is biting it, and kicks it away from her for extra pain. The photo is her on the neighbour's door - she owns that place.

NDN is obviously trying to lure him back home with treats and TC is lulling them into a false sense of security by playing along .

"Yes , yes , give me loads of those tiny tinned sardines with the heads on. I will eat them so you think your pathetic plan is working but with every delicious mouthfull....and there will be many mouthfulls... I will scorn you and pity your feeble attempts. I am still moving in with grumpy but it makes you feel better to appease me . I will let you try "

Yes , he is getting a bit tubby . I've noticed our two have doubled their coats overnight too.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 13/09/2019 08:33

Not fat. Just an unflattering camera angle.

AnneKipanki · 13/09/2019 08:01

You may as well give up . He has.chosen you .

AnneKipanki · 13/09/2019 07:51

He obviously wants to move in .

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/09/2019 07:26

It’s his winter fur coming through. Mine will look like an over stuffed teddy bear soon.
