Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

I spent quite a long time in my bedroom before I noticed that all was not as it seemed. The black cat snoozing on my bed was not my own black cat (who had a magnificent bottlebrush tail, and extra toes) It was actually my NDN's black cat. My black and white cat didn't seem to mind at all.
He and my two coexisted in perfect harmony for several years. Other NDN (who didn't have any cats) regularly found all three of them asleep on her bed!

TC is undoubtedly all of those things but he's also clever.
Raining today so no sign of him.
He did however try to break into both front and back yesterday Grin.

How about ‘dedicated’?

Weezol · 19/07/2019 13:18

One cat's 'persistent' is another cat's 'committed'.

Fluffycloudland77 · 19/07/2019 12:47

He will never give up.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 19/07/2019 12:41

Surely he hasn’t given up???

sweetkitty · 17/07/2019 21:24

He is persistent that’s for sure!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/07/2019 21:15

He’s going to be in your bed with your DW soon

DW has confirmed she only has eyes for Basil Shock

Dobby 😂😂😂

DobbyTheHouseElk · 17/07/2019 20:56

He’s going to be in your bed with your DW soon. He has plans.

He is so so cute. How can you resist him.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/07/2019 20:32

At least his owners know where to find him.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/07/2019 19:58

I suspect he's thinking 'who do you think you're looking at, puny human'

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats
I think your whole house just needs to submit, TC is King of all he surveys. He deserves admittance to your home purely due to his sheer bloody mindness.
Long live TC!!

Weezol · 17/07/2019 14:46

You know ages ago when I said you'd find TC asleep on your pillow and you thought not?

TremblingFanjo · 17/07/2019 14:03

You're going to need to reinforce that fence - he's a hefty lump to be landing on it from a height.

Mia184 · 17/07/2019 13:57

Grumpy you will soon wake up one fine morning and find TC sleeping next to you 😂

Nonstopbuttmachine · 17/07/2019 13:28

Did the fence survive after being hit by a flying TC? For such a non-sylph like creature he's remarkably athletic Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/07/2019 13:09

One other photo from this morning - very poor quality for which I apologize - but this does actually show a flying TC Grin.

Oh he'd already been through the railings - the photos above were him on his way out.
The attached are him and Karl having a very noisy spat (at 05.20) which woke me, DW and Lenny up. (Lenny just watched the entertainment from the window sill.)

Did he abseil off the balcony?
He launched himself off the balcony onto the 6ft fence panel below and held on with his front paws.
For me the more interesting question is how did he get up there?
A previous generation of my cats used the bedroom window as their household ingress and egress point and did make their own way up onto the balcony (and the roof) - but none of my current four do.

I love his smug little face!

He's actually doing the whisker test to work out how much fat he needs to lose to squeeze through those railings ...

I have no doubt he will end up on your bed, Grumpy!

Nonstopbuttmachine · 17/07/2019 12:26

😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm laughing with you not at you OP honestly.....

I love his smug little face! 😽. Did he abseil off the balcony? 😮

Ginmel · 17/07/2019 11:42

Next step is signing over the deeds to your house. He probably knows where the deeds are too and can forge your signature

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 17/07/2019 11:39

YetAnotherSpartacus
I like complaining Grin.
Though being serious - getting on the balcony at night is a new thing for TC to do - and it really pissed off the normally docile Karl. This is just one step away from finding him on our bed...
What's next - breaking in through the roof?

My cats are forgiven by the way - this is written at the kitchen table with Basil asleep on a pile of paperwork and Sybil purring on my lap).
