But I thought I'd share anyway.

This happens on our street a LOT and I just don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate, the gap between the wing mirror and wall isn't big enough for a child to slip through and the car is so huge it blocks pedestrians from seeing whats coming without stepping into the road.
Not to mention that he's parked on a T-junction.

GRR!

Police are knocking on doors to find owner. They seem nice. Old man in strange Russian hat has decided this is more interesting than walking his dog and has stopped for a gawp.

I'm trying hard to watch out of - - shit-- window without being seen by police and looking like a loon.

Unfortunately I don't have a good view of the car at all and could only see if owner comes out if I actually went and stood outside. I'm embarassed enough for caring 101 without being a curtain twitcher too!

@bummymummy77

pickle officer BAHAHAHA!!!! Curse you autocorrect!

Offered them a cup of tea because I can't contained my British and also mentioned it was untaxed.

Utterly brilliant!

OP, I fucking fucking LOVE you. LOVE YOU I say. Grin

@Motherofasurvivor

Today is Saturday bingbong...

Oh yeah it IS Saturday-not Sunday. What a tit I am. Still, must be quiet at the moment for da pleeeece. Smile

MadMags · 13/01/2018 14:25

Is that why I'm getting so much condensation on my bedroom windows? Thought I had fucking mould the other day.

Is it the double glazing??

Snotgobbler99 · 13/01/2018 14:24

Suggest OP finds a handy white stick and walks into the side of the car, excellent opportunity to eavesdrop as you sit in pavement looking baffled...

(But really, Im just placemarking).

Tinkie25 · 13/01/2018 14:24

Missed a good parking thread

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 14:23

MotherofaSurvivor I rent the house off an absolute cowboy landlord who overcharges me and never, ever fixes anything. Bane of my life.

Bingbong I'm sure today is Saturday....?

Oysterbabe · 13/01/2018 14:22

That's an incredible response time, I'm glad they take parking as seriously as we do.
Or maybe it's stolen.

c3pu · 13/01/2018 14:22

You need to get some new glass for that window OP, the seal has gone and let moisture in, WHICH IS OBSCURING MY VIEW OF THE DRAMA FFS

MotherofaSurvivor · 13/01/2018 14:22

Your double glazing is on it's way out...

HermionesRightHook · 13/01/2018 14:22

Yes athing - it's dead handy if you want to check your own car, a bit worrying that anyone can do it.

BlooBagoo · 13/01/2018 14:22

Hope you also told them they've made a lot of people online rather happy at their quick response. Grin

bingbongnoise · 13/01/2018 14:21

Sunday afternoon is probably quiet on the western front.

That's probably why Pleece came speedily! Smile

I am sure the DVLA sends a reminder for road tax (in the post!) So 'Landrover-CF' must have been warned about it. And he got the MOT done only a few weeks before the tax was due too. Pillock!

POLICE ARE HERE! Grin

UrsulaPandress · 13/01/2018 14:20

And a 4x4 as well. Ticks all the boxes.

c3pu · 13/01/2018 14:20

I'm hoping they carry out an extra judicial execution of the driver in the street, rather than the usual wet lettuce established procedures.

bummymummy77 · 13/01/2018 14:20

POLICE! Grin

MadMags · 13/01/2018 14:19

x-posted while the police arrived!!!

athingthateveryoneneeds · 13/01/2018 14:19

bummymummy77 · 13/01/2018 14:19

Either marrying me or a pickle officer would cement it in classics for sure.

MadMags · 13/01/2018 14:19

Ah, the escalation of the neighbour stealing the car keys would have been magnificent. However, sometimes simplicity is best.

You do realise your entire life needs to come to a grinding halt now, so you can update in real time?

So, none of this "okay, I'll come back later if something happens" nonsense.

You're so close to Classics!

Maryz · 13/01/2018 14:19

That was quick. I've never seen a MN thread where a 101 call actually led to police arriving Grin

londonrach · 13/01/2018 14:19
