I know I'm not being unreasonable about this parking!!! (with diagram)

But I thought I'd share anyway.

This happens on our street a LOT and I just don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate, the gap between the wing mirror and wall isn't big enough for a child to slip through and the car is so huge it blocks pedestrians from seeing whats coming without stepping into the road.
Not to mention that he's parked on a T-junction.

GRR!

Oh wow - I love it when action is actually taken over cunty parkers! Well done OP, and well done for saving your neighbour's embarrassment over leaving her keys in the front door.

Really hope the car gets towed and squashed. Ha!

DreamingofItaly · 13/01/2018 15:06

Do it. Force the tea on her. She looks cold and you're super helpful looking for an update

iMatter · 13/01/2018 15:05

Perhaps take a hot water bottle out to her? And a nice blanket?

Brilliant thread OP. 13/10.

onalongsabbatical · 13/01/2018 15:05

You think you're straight, Op, but how can you know until you've tried it?
There must be a parking thread wedding - there simply must!
I know, I've gone off the rails a bit...

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 15:03

What about Angry Man?

Didn't get a look at him. Though I'm in my mid twenties and he sounded a bit older so perhaps the age gap would cause us problems.

Still no change. Police officer looks cold. Tempted to go full Father Ted and force upon her a cup of tea.

Snotgobbler99 · 13/01/2018 15:03

I'm sorry OP but you're not taking this seriously enough, nobody is 100% straight, it's a spectrum.

And the Policeperson's are in uniform....

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 13/01/2018 15:03

How can I get out of it without him throwing a strop ?

If he strops, LTB. This is important.

LittleMe03 · 13/01/2018 15:01

Just read through all of this thread so far. Awesome! Grin

MadMags · 13/01/2018 15:01

Just to ruin it a little, both police officers are female and I'm straight.

Well that's no good. What about Angry Man?

bingbongnoise · 13/01/2018 15:01

OK, washing up and dusting and hoovering done. Rubbish taken out.
Thread still brilliant. Grin

LadyLapsang · 13/01/2018 15:00

This thread is an absolute classic. If you weren't renting I would say Mumsnet should pay for your window to be replaced for future sleuthing. Just needs Lady Pickle of Staffordshire to update us with the official line and then we can take odds for it being in the DM tomorrow.

gunsandbanjos · 13/01/2018 15:00

Best.Thread.Ever.

Think I love you OP.

Oldbutstillgotit · 13/01/2018 15:00

DH is standing with his jacket on as we are supposed to be going to the cinema . How can I go with the best thread ever going on ? How can I get out of it without him throwing a strop ?

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 13/01/2018 14:59

What sort of biscuit?

😂😂😂

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 14:59

Just to ruin it a little, both police officers are female and I'm straight. HOWEVER, neighbour is single and gay, so the possibility of a romance is still there.

onalongsabbatical · 13/01/2018 14:57

Ok, I'm not placemarking on this marvellous thread, so much as making sure of my invite to the inevitable wedding that's in the offing, as it seems OP has at least four suitors - pickle officer, bummymummy, mysterious dark strange bloke neighbour, and some other person who posted something.
OP, when you do accept a proposal, remember to be a really dramatic and narcissistic bridezilla that we can all have long and shocked threads about.
Then you will be both mumsnet parking thread queen and mumsnet zillaqueen all at once.

And we can all die happy. GrinGrinGrin

Snotgobbler99 · 13/01/2018 14:56

Rousette Yes, but your strategy will bring OP to realise to the full extent of the post-modern predicament she finds herself in. Your boredom will be better served by the OP's lack of self-conscious awareness.

We need to be more like The Truman Show and to manipulate her environment without her realising.

*

OP - It might be a good idea if you were to ask for the Police Officer's number, just in case you need to contact him regarding your photographic evidence/intruder in back passage etc etc.

Apocalyptichorsewoman · 13/01/2018 14:56

Very Good Thread - Hobnobs are best though (nods sagely)

Roussette · 13/01/2018 14:56

Thanks MadHugger

This thread has everything... drama, diagrams, biscuits, photos, romance?!

UnsuspectedItem · 13/01/2018 14:56

But she'll have to send you the videos so you can post them here, she knows that right? I have a worry that if I don't post pictures of the end result I'll be lynched, or MNHQ will ban me!

Just joining in... Very good Sassy! Grin

verystressedmum · 13/01/2018 14:55

Great thread Grin

Goodasgoldilox · 13/01/2018 14:54

Worthy of the classics award already! What a diagram - and the list - ***

bummymummy77 · 13/01/2018 14:53

GrinGrinGrin at thought of op hanging out of window with selfie stick.

afreshnewname · 13/01/2018 14:53
