You really need to try that brow pencil. On that video I posted, she used it and the result was hilarious giant brown slugs.

Now it's one thing for the calendar to be crap - that's fine. But if there is a hygiene / foreign body issue, you should HoF know - but I would be devastated if this meant you had to return HoF advent calendar

Aridane no it actually was a dead spider (with detached limbs).

Not too bad today. If you don't want to use the black eyebrow pencil (?) maybe you could draw round the spider's body, in the style of CSI?

Also, we need more cat Smile

Cheer up Cheese, it may not even work. At least that would be something to be joyful about - something that COULD be useful, but that doesn’t work. Perhaps that’s where HOF we’re going with this one. You know, just to keep you on your toes.

Pictures not showing for the eyelashes / spider legs. What is it - false eyelashes (ie part of the gift) or some crud that has accidentally got caught up in the glitter?

Do you know the Selfridges Beauty calendar isn't much better - really random stuff - brow exfoliation pencil anyone? Stupid gizmo to guide eyeliner application? There's even a pair of nail clippers for crying out loud! Where is the glamour, the decadent smells, the excitement??!!

One look at that basically non branded whatever it is (eyebrow pencil? Based on the spoolie) and you just know that no matter how many times you swipe it across the back of your hand, let it sit in your bra to warm up, rub it between your hands, not a drop of pigment will come from that pencil onto your skin.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with door number 11.

It's not a tiny pot.
It's not glittery.
It doesn't contain body parts.
It's going straight in the bin.

The ball is solid. I tried to squish it with the penny and it's indestructible - even the spiders they provide are shoddy.

I think I'll just send HOF a link to this thread as my complaint.

I've just discovered this thread and am so glad I decided against the HoF calendar ...
