My mums a right biddy. Right I can roll my school skirt up 3 times to get it short. Maxine says it’s well good and Darren says I have nice legs. But OMG my biddy mum says she can see my breakfast when I bend over! I mean OMG! Really! Says I’m not going out the house like that. She’s so old . She’s 35 and knows nothing about being a teenager. She still used a tin can and string to talk to her old biddy mates. Aibu?

"WTF is wrong with my mum, she keeps using words like 'biddy' and she thinks boys my age are still called Darren! And she keep making references to comedy sketch shows from centuries ago as if I'm going to have any idea what she's talking about. God, my mum's so old"

Candlelight234 · 08/10/2017 11:13

Aibu to expect my mum not to talk to my friends or me in front of my friends? OMG last time she used one of their nicknames and got it wrong. It was like sooooo embarrassing. But she can still give us a lift & £20 to go to Costa in town.

NotAgainYoda · 08/10/2017 11:10

My mother is like, so unreasonable. This morning she made me stop playing the PS4 in my pants to remove all the empty food packets from my bedroom and PUT THEM IN THE BIN. I swear she just lives to make my life a LIVING HELL. Not only that but she asked if I could put my dirty clothes in the washing basket. It's really unfair.

bugaboo218 · 08/10/2017 11:05

OMG! Am I AIBU? My Mum who is well old won't drop what she is doing right now (boring shit like working out what food she is going to get down Tesco's later) and drive me into the City so I can meet Mills and the gang! She like thinks I can get on the bus that takes an hour and half if I want to go. As if I am getting on a bus! It does not even have wifi! The 'rent's expect me to waste my life!

And then I say I want a new supadry hoodie just like Becca and Mill's have got and my Mum OMG you will NOT believe what that woman said. Says they cost £65! You already have one yeah, but that is sooooo old it is like six months old! Then she has the fucking cheek to point out that I could buy a much cheaper hoodie in primark! I mean seriously? WTAF! She thinks I should go round liking like a tramp wearing clothes with out name on it. Not a clue!
Now she is moaning on how I am.always on my phone and if I do not take my cups, bowls, plates and clean my room I will have tech taken of me! GRRR! My life is so miserable!

Mummyoflittledragon · 08/10/2017 11:04

I was hanging out with me mates right in town yesterday. An the old man was the other side of the road like. FFS he only went and smiled at me and waved and wanted me to go over. Like how embarrassing?. WIBU to pretend I didn’t see ‘im?

parkednearby · 08/10/2017 11:01

It's 10.42am on a Sunday and they have no idea how annoying it is to have to text them to tell them I'm awake and waiting for a cup of coffee.

notaflyingmonkey · 08/10/2017 10:58

OMG my DM literally reckons, like, I shouldn't start each sentence with OMG, but, like, what does she know? OMG and then when she says, in what way is it like? OMG or literally as opposed to figeratively is just like, butters.

Livedandlearned · 08/10/2017 10:57

My dad is so rude, he dropped my make up brushes when he was carrying my stuff in from the car in the dark. I remember all this important stuff when I really need to give reasons why the internet should not go off at bedtime. So what if I woke the whole family up at nearly midnight with the facetime ringtone ffs, twice! Inconsiderate family!

TalcAndTurnips · 08/10/2017 10:56

OnTheSherry Grin I work in a school office, so I am exposed to toxic levels of Lynx Africa, Beyoncé Midnight Heat and tidal waves of eyebrow gel on a daly basis.

The application of the above takes precedence over everything and is a perfectly legitimate reason to be a couple of hours late, of course. Any challenge to this is met by such sighings and eye rollings it would test the patience of St Monica herself.

Guhh Miiiiisssss Hmm

I am the unreasonable one, naturally.

littlebillie · 08/10/2017 10:55

😂

FinallyDecidedOnUserName · 08/10/2017 10:55

So pissed off with my dad. I mean I had to actually wait for him to open the car to take me to work this morning - I mean I know I got up late but ffs I’d been at a uni visit with him yesterday- he must know how knackered I am - I mean I slept the whole 3 hour journey home AND I’d been at my bfs the night before AND a students night on Thursday night. Just because he was clearing some garden stuff waiting for me to be ready is no f’ing excuse.

fairyofallthings · 08/10/2017 10:53

My mother insists that I get my school bag ready the night before, WTF is she on about - it doesn't matter if I roll out of bed 10 minutes before we have to leave and forget half of my books. She's an evil cow anyway because she makes me walk home from detention. If she got my bag ready cos that's what good mothers do then I wouldn't have the detention in the first place would I?

My mum is embarrassing- everyone says she is weird. Like I can't even cope walking through town with her as people just look at me with pity in their eyes. Thank god for asos otherwise I would never have new clothes. Although she is a stingy cow - why can't I have £60 t shirts?

Like yesterday she presented me with a present - I went to open it and it was a bag within a bag but she had put mashed up banana in one of the bags so to get to what I wanted I had to touch banana. She knows I hate banana. Like it's not my fault I lost said important item - it just fell out of my pocket. I could have just get a new one. I don't know why the people who found it sent it back. I will never ever forgive her for making me touch a banana. Thank god for my 3 yr old sister who helped me out with the worst bits..

AND I really don't see why she has a problem with my covering my bedroom floor with my stuff - like where else am I supposed to put it????

JackieMac77 · 08/10/2017 10:43

Oh yes, and they refuse to cover the cost of my most basic grooming requirements. Bloody father sniggers at my eyebrows and nearly pisses himself at his "witty" comments about Sharpies and caterpillars. Mother has flatly refused to fund acrylic nails as they are apparently "inappropriate for school" and calls balayage "streaks" and expects me to pay half of the £80 cost from my savings!

CauliflowerSqueeze · 08/10/2017 10:42

I don’t even need to ask AIBU because I have no second in my life where I reflect on the impact I’m having and I KNOW I am being reasonable. My parents are giving me mental health and stress issues because they have asked me twice since September how my revision is going. I mean FFS!!!!!! Like they can’t trust me or something????!!! Just because I’ve had the last 3 weeks off from working after school.

OnTheSherry · 08/10/2017 10:40

OM-F-(sorry Mum)-G! I am NOT going for a walk at half ten (like, half TEN!!!!!) on a Sunday. Has she lost the plot?!!! She's all like 'but its sunny' and 'you need some fresh air' and I'm like 'Mum, GT-F (sorry Mum)-O of my room! I'm only wearing my, like, Spongebob boxers that she got me for Christmas (thanks, Mum). She's, like, SO annoying! She just opened my curtains and brought me some weetabix , as well . I'm so not wearing those WACK wellies she brought me. As if.

Honestly, AIBU to expect my mum to knock on my bedroom door before coming in? I was stark naked and wanking into a sock.

drinkswineoutofamug · 08/10/2017 10:37

Ah kiera the old names are coming back. NDN kid called Douglas??

didnthappeninmyday · 08/10/2017 10:37

My old biddy says her car has broken down and she’s not giving me a lift to school tomorrow, I’ve told her I’m not walking 2 miles to school and she needs to get it fixed today, and I don’t care if garages are shut on Sunday’s. There’s no way I’m walking, she needs to sort it out.

Potofbobbles · 08/10/2017 10:35

What is it with teens and eyebrows. I was watching educating GM the other day with a WTF face...
