To have bought ds's teacher a giant kestrel?

I mean at least she won't get a duplicate and it make a change from 'best teacher' mugs?!

Asked ds what she liked - gardening apparently. DS's class is kestrel class so aha I thought. A little kestrel ornament for the garden. Except it is not little. No no. It is a gigantic genetically modified kestrel. Maybe she can put it at the bottom of the garden so it looks smaller?!

As the person who hand made a toddler sized wonky faced cuddly robot for her child's teacher, I welcome the idea that someone else is gifting a slightly bonkers present this school year.

(Robot was DD's idea. I have problems with scale when crafting)

Yes I did think I should clarify metal and not mental. It could have been either or both in all honesty.

Are you lot encouraging me just to see how ds's teacher reacts

I'm a teacher and I want a kestrel. It could perch in my room and look beady eyed at students, and stuff. How about your son copying out The Windhover in his best handwriting. I think it's actually about a peregrine falcon but meh falcons shmolcons.

Absolutely awesome gift and far better than chocs, mugs or pencils.

Wind-fucker is metal.

I read that as "Wind-fucker is mental". I think he should be trained to glare irascibly at Ofsted inspectors.

Dd's maths teacher has a picture of Donald Trump in his classroom instead of a kestrel. Donald is always getting his sums wrong and being held up as a sad example to the class "Donald thought this was the answer ".

Look at the toucan! He looks less judgemental than my kestrel.
