I mean at least she won't get a duplicate and it make a change from 'best teacher' mugs?!

Asked ds what she liked - gardening apparently. DS's class is kestrel class so aha I thought. A little kestrel ornament for the garden. Except it is not little. No no. It is a gigantic genetically modified kestrel. Maybe she can put it at the bottom of the garden so it looks smaller?!

I will link the purveyor of giant kestrels for those interested. I just need to relocate the website! However I believe if you search 'kestrel garden ornament' he appears since that is how I located him.

I like the chickens. Particularly the white rooster. They are a little less scary than Kenneth.

And the award for best teacher gift 2017 goes to silverlining17!

AlletrixLeStrange · 04/07/2017 15:56

I've been laughing for about 5 minutes at this and my son just said to me "it's not funny now, mummy" Blush

ChasedByBees · 04/07/2017 15:55

She will love it! I also love the idea of tying a miniature bottle round the neck, that is genius.

UrsulaPandress · 04/07/2017 15:48

Here are my fowl.

Holy fucking cheese, that's a bad bad thing. Where can I get one?

GreeboIsACutePussPuss · 04/07/2017 15:23

I love it, chocolates and stuff are lovely but Kestrel would definitely amuse me because I am really mature he would become my class mascot and there would probably be photos of him enjoying the summer holidays, class bear style.

Redredredrose · 04/07/2017 15:16

I think he's great. I'd be extremely happy to be given him if I were a eacher. Much better than a mug or chocolates. I thought he was just a massive kestrel head in the first picture, and was a little doubtful but he looks brilliant in the later shots.

winglesspegasus · 04/07/2017 15:15

would love this
maybe make it a real teaching tool with

Not for another nearly three weeks. Maybe I should hand him over early. Get in first. In case there are any other wind fucker kestrels.

thelonelyhamster · 04/07/2017 15:11

When is the magnificent kestral going to be handed over?

Schools here are already done for the academic year and I can never remember when it is the rest of the UK stops for summer!

HappyFlappy · 04/07/2017 15:05

".. and good morning wind-fucker the kestrel of doom" : GENIUS. You all make my day.

Yes - but it must be chanted in that robotic sing-song voice children use when greeting visitors to the classroom . . .

amousehaseatenmypaddlingpool · 04/07/2017 14:55

DH is a twitcher. I can't wait to get home and tell him about the kestrel once being named Windfucker. He'll look nonplussed for a moment and then tell me he knew that already - bet he didn't Grin

JennyGreenteeth · 04/07/2017 14:55

You MUST give this gift. I am curious (and i have somewhat poor social skills in this area): what would be a good "jokey note"? I mean: what do you say when you give someone a 40cm stern judgey windfucker kestrel named Kenneth? I'm sure the etiquette lessons did not cover this anywhere.

mydogisthebest · 04/07/2017 14:52

He is a great present and I am sure the teacher will love him. If I were a teacher I would love something a bit different from wine, chocolates, smellies

cdtaylornats · 04/07/2017 14:52

She will never see another pigeon if she sticks it in the garden

Goodythreeshoes · 04/07/2017 14:51
