I'm going to be a grandfather! Woo hoo! They haven't tuppence to rub together, so there'll be 3 generations under one roof. Still, DD is doing well after the throwing stopped, he's working all the hours God sends, and with luck I shall see New Person into their teens, as opposed to my DF who got less than 7 years of DGF hood. Wish us luck.

So cute. He’s growing up so fast. What is his name?

I am loving these updates, what a gorgeous little boy!

Oh, he tells DSIL "Mummy lets me" Grin. I'm pretty sure there is nowhere in the multiverse where climbing on top of the fireguard or into the washing machine is permitted.

I think the appropriate answer is "does he really? Let's check with Daddy shall we!" Although impressed he's trying to play you off against others already 😁

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 30/10/2018 21:21

Hmm. Behavioural advice needed. When reproved, should someone this young be claiming "Daddy lets me" when he's caught doing something untoward. Still, he's pretty entertaining otherwise, although he can get quite stroppy if dinner's late.

Back to normal. So many things to fall into! The TV, the China cabinet, the fireplace, or the old favourite, the hard floor faceplant.

Fourteen months. Being sensible during Storm Callum, while the grown ups played with chainsaws, picks and drills.

AIBU to laugh in a cruel and sarcastic manner because DGS pooed in the bath? Because revenge is sweet, even after two decades. I facetimed them, and Little Prince shouted "GRANDAD! I DID POO!" Three word sentence, you'll note.

One of DS's first words was 'careful'. I feel he's letting the side down somewhat.

By the time she was 6, his mother was being offered a season ticket by her orthopaedic surgeon. I'm on my 2nd broken leg and 4th knee operation, DW's knee crackles like twigs and his dad spends his free time ramming other 250lb males over a leather egg.

this one and that one - that's really all the vocabulary you need for most things! And he's summed you up beautifully! 😂 Silly bugger trying to do handstands though.

burblish · 26/09/2018 13:42

Oh dear, not the dreaded ‘n’ word! My eldest used to always say it multiple times for emphasis; he never said just “no” - it was always, “No. No-no-no-no!”
