Anyone lost this? On my backstep if it's yours!

So. Just come in through my back gate to find this on my doorstep....anyone missing a pigeon? Not your average bird, well looked after, has got ring etc but bloody thing won't let me get close enough to get details.

It's currently attacking my pots in hope of food. Am assuming due to high winds been blown off course and is knackered. I have chucked some food out on back step (randomly had some milled linseed in...once a Girl Guide, always a Girl Guide Grin) and shut in Sassycat (cos that wouldn't end well...I'd be hoovering up feathers for weeks!!!)...

So...anyone think they've lost something today? Or have suggestions of what I could do with it? Confused

Am just clinging on to the hope that she's well rested and fed so if she's found a safe place to roost, she'll make it home in the morning...so yes every, here's hoping for tomorrow! My poor DD will be gutted if she doesn't make it Sad

I have a totally irrational fear of pigeons, I'll zigzag the street to try and avoid them and my friend has to relocate her pet pigeon to another room when I visit (he always makes a pigeon-line for me if we do happen to be in the same room).

But this thread has made my day, I hope Gazzie makes it home (either one!) safely.

It's ridiculous I know but I feel so responsible for her! At least I know she was well rested and fed before her release so she has a decent chance... Come on little pidge! 🙈🙉🙊

Oh, sigh! T'was probably a mirage, Sassy! I think she will get home, just seems to be taking a long time. Don't feel bad, lovely.

Think it was wistful thinking on my part. Opened window and called. It looked at me like Confused...went out back to check again but no sign in garden...think I am so desperate for good news I am checking out every goddamn pigeon! It's like am inspecting a pigeon identity parade...there are a fair amount of pigeons round here too!

Oh DGazzie, I just want you to get home safely Sad I feel bad for letting her go now ... Ok....positive thoughts....

Owner just msgd to say he is one bird down from today's race back from Newark too....vaguely hoping that DGazzie bumped into the other straggler and they are both on their way west!

He's promised to let me know if she shows....

....hang on there's a pigeon on a tv aerial I can see from my window that looks a little similar ....can't be....can it????

Just had the above response from Gazzie's owner.....shit! We should have organised drones....or someone to deliver her from New Malden to her coop....arghhhhh! Can't. Take. Much. More!!!
