AIBU to leave it out overnight?

I have a load of washing on the line. OH just checked it and he says its still pretty wet. No sun here (Grrr) so there is no chance it will dry before we have to go out in an hour.

I say it's not a big deal, we can just leave it on the line overnight and get it in tomorrow when it's dry

He says if it's left out overnight it won't stay clean.

Solve this clash of opinions please dearest vipers (I have no idea how it would get dirty on the clothes line)

How the actual fuck do you not notice a bat?!

IvyLeagueUnderTheSea · 16/04/2017 22:05

This is hilarious. Unless I've missed it and its been posted I'll try and find the article about the bat in the bra.

ipswichwitch · 16/04/2017 21:03

I'm sat here wondering how Scandinavian spiders cope with the long light summers drastically reducing their willy waving time. Still, I guess they're laughing in winter.

seedsofchange · 16/04/2017 20:51

Otter poo smells of violets and is called spraint.

RiverTamFan · 16/04/2017 20:22

Fl0ellafunbags Otter poo is calling spraint.

SmileEachDay · 16/04/2017 17:02

But Doom you already have hot jizz I'm sure that's a film on your sheets. And your clothes.

You're going to have to throw them away. God knows how you'll get anything new, what with having to do it naked.

DoomGloomAndKaboom · 16/04/2017 16:52

NNNOOoooooooooo

Concussed heat blasted spiders will have no self control on all sheets and and towels. This is terrible news.

Solution:I will never launder clothes again and be a stinky lady BUT no spider jizz on me smalls.

Fl0ellafunbags · 16/04/2017 15:45

Unless a spider crawls its way into your drier under the cover of darkness then tumbles its hot willy all over your clothes

DoomGloomAndKaboom · 16/04/2017 13:43

THis is why I have a tumble dryer. Even the squatter spiders can't be trusted. I'm ruining the planet but my undercrackers have never been humped by a spider willy. [smug]

SmileEachDay · 16/04/2017 12:52

Shboogie I kid you not, the "tame" spiders are the worst of the lot. They emotionally manipulate you into giving them access to your washing then the minute darkness falls...

Fl0ellafunbags · 16/04/2017 12:49

Barry can click his fingers, shout "Bang!" and the Cillit Lightbulb will come on and banish the otter poo, the spider willy stains, the badger snot, the bat spunk, the fox breath, the moose saliva and the terrible darkness.

HRHTiggyD · 16/04/2017 12:36

That'll be the Cillit Lightbulb.

Fl0ellafunbags · 16/04/2017 12:23

My washing has been on the line fir four days now

I feel a new Cillit Bang product coming on for slatterns people like you.

BANG! AND THE DARK IS GONE! Hollers Barry Scott

LornaMumsnet · 16/04/2017 11:23

Hi, folks!

We're sending this over to classics now.

Vanillamanilla1 · 16/04/2017 10:02

My washing has been on the line fir four days now . I do plan on getting it in today tho
It's a regular occurrence

Fl0ellafunbags · 16/04/2017 10:00

DH got the washing in before it got darked on last night. I'm frustrated. I wanted to live dangerously, spice things up a bit. But he just wants to maintain our vanilla existence.

Bananamanfan · 16/04/2017 09:06

Not only do I leave my washing out overnight, I sometimes actually hang it out when it's getting dark and it's dry in the morning. Our garden is overlooked by about 5 other houses too. The neighbours must talk of nothing else.
I like to think I'm giving something back to nature, so glad I found out about spider willies.

AstrantiaMajor · 16/04/2017 07:56

How long before Gwynnie starts advising us to us Spider Wily juice as an anti aging serum and to use Spider Willies as part of our clean eating regime.

Shboogiebop · 16/04/2017 00:58

I am a complete slattern and often leave my washing out overnight. Sometimes it is there for days as I -can't be arsed- don't have time to bring it in. I am on very good terms with the spider who lives on my balcony, I leave a space on the washing line between two pegs (of the same colour obviously) where I never put washing as he likes to spin his web from the ceiling down to the line and in return he keeps the flies away from my front door. I don't believe that he would be so uncouth as to drag his willie over my washing!

Marmalade85 · 16/04/2017 00:00

Just bleached some whites and hung them outside to dry. Feeling naughty ShockGrin

StillSeekingResponsibleAdult · 15/04/2017 23:56

I am slightly concerned about my washing on the airer indoors now. I've seen spiders in the house before, we turn the lights out at night and the washing remains.

How do I know the spiders aren't waving their willies as I sleep? Are indoor spiders different? Will being darked on indoors be different?

Or are we all doomed?! Shock

Funnyfive · 15/04/2017 23:36

It was after dark this evening when I realised the washing was still out, I said to my dh that I had to get it in quick before it got 'darked on' - he laughed but I said no it was a real thing.

Then I read this thread - spooky! Forgot about the spiders willies though - it was only an hour of being darked on - do you think I got away with it?

Or should I burn it all now?

Sebby83 · 15/04/2017 23:01

Think this is the first time I've ever commented on here but this thread with its replies just popped up in my emails and had me laughing like an idiot imagining spider willies and clothes getting darked on. Thank you mumsnet for brightening my "spider willy-less" night lol
