DS turns 1 this week. Be honest, is this the stuff of nightmares? Will the children at his party be scarred for life?

We need to see the Mark II version, Jolly.

Praying silentlyGrin.

JollyBobs · 09/04/2017 17:02

Ok so I have to admit this cake was just a practice (dear god I'm glad I did a practice). The real one will be produced on Friday.

Let's all take a moment of silence to pray for jollybobs cake and hope the next one looks better...

Grin I completely forgot about these till then.

Perhaps a few Colin caterpillars from M&S crawling up bum could explain his expression?

reuset · 09/04/2017 16:59

The eyebrows make it look rather earnest. Grin

reuset · 09/04/2017 16:58

Agree, change the eyes. That might help. I think you've tried to make it look too realistic, if that makes sense. It reminds me of my childhood gerbil a bit. Grin

More ideas to help contextualise hog's vacant stare, OP.

Or how to outdo yourself for the second birthday.

Hilarious.

You totally nailed it OP.

If you were aiming for a nutty post-stomach bug shit, that is.

LBOCS2 · 09/04/2017 16:19

Grin Rusty.

RustyBear · 09/04/2017 16:11

It looks like someone,s just disproved Nanny Ogg's Hedgehog song...

JollyBobs · 09/04/2017 15:39

I am going to dye some desiccated coconut for the, ahem, grass. I'm not helping myself am I?

Maybe you could put a few lines of icing sugar in front of it

I just woke dd up laughing snorting like a pig at that! Totally worth it.

JollyBobs · 09/04/2017 15:30

Red stawberry cake and jam, there's an idea!

OP posts:
SouthWindsWesterly · 09/04/2017 15:29

As long as it isn't made with a red strawberry sponge for that surprise cake cut, it should be fine. Choccy buttons for the spines and a licorice spiff out front. Sorted

JollyBobs · 09/04/2017 15:29

I can't present a beaver cake for my sons first birthday or can I?

OP posts:
Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/04/2017 15:25

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 09/04/2017 15:20

Gileswithachainsaw · 09/04/2017 15:18

ophiotaurus · 09/04/2017 15:15

Poor hog! I think flakes would look good or buttons.

Reactivedog · 09/04/2017 15:06

Chocolate buttons- every time.

Lflossy88 · 09/04/2017 14:59

God no lol... That's well out of my baking abilities Wink

ForTheSakeOfFuck · 09/04/2017 14:58

You know. As decoration. Obviously. If anyone reads anything into it, clutch pearls and be shocked at their outrageous suggestion.

I should not be in charge of children's parties.

ForTheSakeOfFuck · 09/04/2017 14:56

Maybe you could put a few lines of icing sugar in front of it?

JollyBobs · 09/04/2017 14:41

Come on @ImportSave I have clearly demonstrated I have the creative flair of a one handed sloth. Zig zags? I think I need to concentrate on it not looking like it's singing smack ma bitch up.

OP posts:
ImportSave · 09/04/2017 13:34

If you don't want to do flakes, you could melt some chocolate, stick it in ta piping bag and make a zigzag pattern on non stick paper. Let it set for a few minutes then peel the paper off.
