Anyone got some to share?
Please.. I cannot be the only one..
Following my 6 week coil check yesterday, I text my ds's friends mum to check she was still okay to have my ds after school.
I was also in the midst of texting a friend about the appointment saying 'I was a bit worried at one point when the nurse said "This is a good sign, I can see Fred" then I realised she had said thread'.
I quickly followed this up with another text asking 'who is this tiny man living in my vagina?'.
I sent it to my ds's friends mum didn't I.
The poor woman got 'Are you still okay to have ds after school today' 'Who is this tiny man living in my vagina'.
The absolute shame Blush

I remember when I broke up with a boyfriend many years ago I had deleted his number and gone out to get pished with my friends. Only I had memorised his number so started texting him anyway...started out with quite normal messages and he answered sensibly but the more angry i got over text he started denying he knew me and it was a wrong number. I got quite furious at this point in a drunken rage, telling him what I thought of him and how he was a dickhead and horrible person etc etc, how dare he pretend he didnt know me, why doesnt he just own up to being an arse... and on it went, with all the drama you can only manage when you are a teenager. I woke up the next morning with a banging hangover and a text from my ex. From his actual number, not the randomers number I had been hurling abuse at the night before...

Friend's teenage daughter was sitting on the loo in a campsite and received a text from her DF asking what she was up to. She replied "at this moment I'm siting on the loo having a very satisfying poo" and sent it to the other conversation she was in with a group of teenage boys....

I was seeing a man called john, who wanted me to send him a pic of my bits! Unfortunately my boss was also called john! Work was never the same again!

My female DP was once on a packed London bus going to work alternating between texting me and texting one of her female (also gay) PhD students. It was an old phone, there was lag switching from one thread of messages to the other. The messages to me were very very base - what she wanted to do to me when she saw me later etc.
You know where this is going .....
yup she accidentally sent one meant for me to her PhD student -
She realised as soon as she'd pressed send and yelled out "No! No!"
Everyone on the bus turned to look at her. She looked at them and said "texted wrong person". There was a joint sympathetic "Oh no!" in response.
She frantically tried calling her student - but it was too late, student (luckily a mature woman in her forties) answered the phone laughing. My DP said "just erase it from your phone, you can have a laugh with [phd student's partners name] later".
"oh no" said PhD student "I'd be much too embarrassed to repeat what it said"
Ouch!

I met a woman through mutual friends at a big boozy party. It turned out she lived quite near to me and had just started going to dance lessons. We chatted a bit about that and I expressed an interest I was drunk so I slurred inappropriate enthusiasm so we arranged to go together!

We met and went to the first class and had a brilliant time and then started to make arrangements for the second class via Messenger. They've got reaction GIFS now on Messenger and I was just idly scrolling through them when I saw one with Officer Healy from OITNB and I could see there was some teeny-tiny writing on the bottom of the gif. So I clicked on it to get a better look and it SENT IMMEDIATELY.

The writing on the bottom?

"LESBIAN REQUEST DENIED"

Mortificado! She took it very well and I apologised for being presumptuous and all was well. Grin

I once managed to embarrass my DP on his phone. He had a blackberry and I didn't understand how it worked and once I visited him at work and he needed to use the bathroom so I came along too (I know, that is strange ha). Weirdly the loo was pretty much in the locker/staff room (it was at a train station if this explains anything). He was sitting on the loo and from here I was sitting opposite it looked like he had tiny legs and a normal sized body. I was laughing away cos he looked funny so he said to take a picture to show him. I somehow managed to take a photo of him taking a dump and send it to everyone in his bbm contacts list who all got a copy of this picture! He was mortified and obviously had a load of people going Hmm at why he'd seemingly sent them a picture of himself sitting on the toilet looking really happy. Sigh.

I was staying at a friends and didn't have any credit on my phone so I used my friends phone to call my dad and ask him to pick me up, he didn't answer to I left loads of messages. Eventually I got a bus home. I then found out my friend had recieved a call back from the very handsome man who's number I'd been calling, they met up after spending months texting and became FWB!

I sent a wrong message to a business contact due to predictive/corrective text. I had typed "I'm in Antibes" and he got "I'm in panties".

amammabear · 17/01/2017 23:24

A friend of mine sent a "wrong person" text a few weeks ago to a mutual friend, song if he sad home alone etc... I was with him at the time- he didn't flinch. Not for a second. He stared at his phone, paused what he was doing for a moment, them just carried on as if nothing had ever happened... Boring sod!

He never replied and although we don't know for certain if he had her number, he's never mentioned anything to her either.

RustyPaperclip · 15/01/2017 23:50

My BiILmany years ago sent a rather raunchy text to my sister's phone. Very explicit. However he accidentally sent it to my sister's home landline which also happened to be the family landline. Oh the joy when my dad pressed play on the answerphone and a monotonous and stilted female voice announced exactly what he wanted to do to his daughter the next time he saw her BlushConfused

AtSea1979 · 15/01/2017 22:58

I'm not surprised, it's hilarious!

This is one of the best threads ever.

Ha ha, that is brilliant! At least the lady you sent it to saw the funny side!! I've sent texts to the wrong person a few times, and it was never anything too bad or weird, but I did send a text meant for my fiancee once starting with, 'Hey, fat shit . . .' to a friend! I call him that as a term of endearment (honest!) and when I explained my friend she thought it was funny and we had a laugh, but I felt awful when I realized I sent it to her at first! ConfusedGrin

I was running late to a meeting with a script writer my boss wanted to sign, I sent him a text saying I was going to be late because I was stuck in traffic, he replied it wasn't a problem. Got to the meeting & he was cute, funny, smart & really good looking (plus he writes the most delicious love stories). After the meeting I sent a text to a single friend saying he would be perfect for her & maybe added a few more descriptions besides.

Yup I had hit reply to the wrong text & he got the lot. He didn't sign to us but I did get a Christmas card from him & thank you for stroking his ego.

AtSea1979 · 14/01/2017 22:32

Haha that would have been a great story for the DGC!

icelollycraving · 14/01/2017 22:22

He apparently read it to his dad who was driving & he nearly crashed the car Blush
We were together another two years after that!

AtSea1979 · 14/01/2017 22:20

icelolly so you didn't marry him then? I wonder why!

TanteJeanne · 14/01/2017 22:17

My DS went on a week's camp with his cousin. When he got back, his rucksack of clothes and washbag were completely untouched. I texted to compare notes with my DS- all about how the filthy bugger hadn't changed his undercrackers for a week. I sent the text to my bank.

icelollycraving · 14/01/2017 21:36

Sexy count hahaha it autocorrected cunt.
I'm now picturing count from Sesame Street giving me the glad eye.

icelollycraving · 14/01/2017 21:35

I was with an old boyfriend & we had stayed at his mum's for the first time. I had tried (v unsuccessfully) to appear cool & confident. I then sent a text to my friend telling her where I was & that I was pretty sure we'd be getting married now,so long as the waltzer would stop. We had a standing joke about people that do the funfairs. I had sent it to him.
