and now I have no idea what to do Blush

We haven't spoke to each other since last night as we've both been working today but I'm not sure if I should contact him first or should I wait for him to contact me?

I don't know what he thinks about it and whether he thinks it meant something or it was just a casual one night stand. I'm not even sure I know tbh Blush

Should I mention this to him or just forget it ever happened and continue on as normal?

piglet True...... Can I have a fascinator? A discreet one?

Justaboy · 26/10/2016 21:33

So friend zone to lover zone then?.

Perhaps that's a very good way to go about a long term marriage match rather than the our eyes locked across a crowded room and i knew he was the one etc?.

Y/N or Maybe?.

I did similar, not a best friend but with a longstanding male friend, post marriage breakup. We no longer speak...But he was being predatory. If your friend is a better sort, speak to him to clear the air, one way or the other, you need to know if it was a one off or something more. Good luck!

Aww lovely!

I slept with my best friend. We've only been together a few months but I'm head over heels and know he is the one! Best thing ever.

Pollaidh · 26/10/2016 19:28

Aw! Glad it worked out. I'm a sucker for 'fell in love with best friend' stories.

To add to the 'I shagged my best friend stories', mine's a little different, but still very positive. I ended up in bed with my best friend about 15+ years ago, we dated briefly, broke up very amicably, returned to being best friends. Then had a few further encounters over the years, but we ultimately realised we're better off as friends. He is still my best friend 15+ years later. I love him dearly and there's still chemistry (we've been mistaken for a loved up couple more than once), but he's not husband material and we're far too alike for sanity.

And yes, he's become friends with my husband, and I've become friends with his girlfriend. We're all adults here Smile

Had you liked him for a while, or was this a complete shock?

Flugelpip · 26/10/2016 19:28

My best friend at university was a guy who made no secret of the fact he thought we should go out. I said no, over and over again, because he was just too important to me to lose him for a short fling but somehow I kept kissing him and fancied him like mad. Anyway, I was right. It would have been stupid to lose our friendship over it.

Nineteen years later we have two DCs and just celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary and I adore him and we need a shortcut for hearts on this website.

ifeellikechickentonight · 26/10/2016 19:26

I once slept with my best friend! 'Twas mortifying!

13 years later we're married with a house and a daughter and really smug happy ... could this be on the cards for you OP?

bummyknocker · 26/10/2016 19:19

Great thread, but if its ends in wedding bells PLEASE promise to update this as a zombie thread to say
'Reader, I married him' Grin

ProphetOfDoom · 26/10/2016 19:16
