My Neighbour is mowing their grass. They have been at it since 8am.
I don't think this is outrageous. It's a good idea to do it before it gets hot.

I woke up with my six year old and my three year old in my bed this morning.

I'm glad it's a superking.

Butteredparsnips · 21/07/2016 11:59

I'm invested in the pregnancy test too now. I suppose it's too boring to suggest that a dog may have picked it up because it smelt of wee??

I'm liking that we have a new Acronym. I might invite IOW to dinner at the weekend, because I like her. I am also thinking that I could be an IOW in future. Ambitious me.

Wrong thread sorry

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 21/07/2016 11:37

My mother is sobbing about our Christmas plans. That's a bit silly, isn't it?

MrsJayy · 21/07/2016 11:34

Maybe they threw it away in denial i want to know too

ScarlettDarling · 21/07/2016 11:30

I bought my 9 year old dd pink, glittery flip flops. There were brown leather ones but she wouldn't have liked them. She loves sparkly stuff so I got them. Im not feeling bad about it either. They look nice and they're comfy.

paxillin · 21/07/2016 11:28

Emailed an url earlier. I have had 3 occurrences yesterday and one today, all from mn talk boards, none from the many other pages I visited.

Butterworthbees · 21/07/2016 11:16

Not one I've ever seen MrsJay ! It's a mystery! If they did why would she take the text at their house?!

I know it's none of my business I really want to know

frenchielala · 21/07/2016 11:11

I met up with a friend for the first time since having my DD. She commented that she liked the name I had chosen so much that if she has a DD it would be high on her list. I took it is a compliment - my DD doesn't own the name.

MrsJayy · 21/07/2016 11:06

Ooo does the older couple maybe have a granddaughter?

insan1tyscartching · 21/07/2016 11:05

My neighbour has been out gardening from 8am until 7pm for the last three days. He's topless, with no hat and most likely no suncream seeing as he resembles a well boiled lobster.
I'm not going to comment on that or on the swearing he does when his teenage son visits. I'm not even going to ponder why his son is never at school either.

Butterworthbees · 21/07/2016 10:50

I found a positive pregnancy test on the pavement in front on my house.

My neighbour on one side is a Middle aged gay man and the other side is an older couple. Who does it belong too?! I really want to know

KERALA1 · 21/07/2016 10:44

TV

KERALA1 · 21/07/2016 10:44

My lovely neighbours optimistically allowed their teenager to have a party. It got out of control and dramatic. Still nice to have abit of drama in our naice cul de sac beats the to and all silent by 11.30 when I go to bed.

TrickyD · 21/07/2016 10:41

DH and I are taking DS1 and his kids on holiday abroad for two weeks. His XP, the kids' mum, does not mind at all. She will be feeding DS's cat and ours while we are away and will probably give DS a lift to the station. We all get on.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 21/07/2016 10:15

There was a programme on TV last night I didn't fancy much.

So I watched something else. It's nice now there's more than one channel often showing either the test card or a potter's wheel, isn't it?

MrsJayy · 21/07/2016 10:11

My loaded cousin has been checking in at fancy pants places this week im not jealous i dont think she is boasting she is having a lovely holiday and i like looking at her pictures

SmilingGivesYouWrinkles · 21/07/2016 09:46

My 17-year-old son has finished college for the summer and is working as a waiter in the evenings. When I got in from work yesterday, not only had he not done any tidying, he had made more mess. I sighed. He apologised and said he'd watched three episodes of Peaky Blinders and didn't realise the time. Then he made me a drink and loaded the dishwasher. Selfish.

CuboidalSlipshoddy · 21/07/2016 09:40

I can make a flask of iced coffee for my lunch box much cheaper than buying it in Costa. But I haven't got staff to pay and a building to rent for the purpose.

itmustbemyage · 21/07/2016 09:22

A friend came round at the weekend without phoning a week in advance. The house was a bit untidy she didn't care, I didn't care. I told her to put the kettle on while I cleared the kids stuff off the coffee table. We had a great chat, coffee and she bought cake with her.

motherinferior · 21/07/2016 08:44

DP went to a conference which meant staying overnight recently. I asked if there were any attractive young colleagues there. He said yes, actually, in a cheerful manner. I said that was nice for him and we talked about something else.

motherinferior · 21/07/2016 08:42

There are some aspects of my kids' school that are far from perfect. But it seems to be fine overall and I'm sure they'll be OK.

Tagetes · 21/07/2016 08:36

I got on a train home last night which was so packed and hot I could hardly breathe. People were a bit grumpy. I put up with it because I knew I only had 2 stops until I changed onto another one which would have air conditioning. It did and I was quite cool by the time I got home.

christinarossetti · 21/07/2016 07:39

There may have been someone in one of the parent and child parking bays without child seats in their car.

I don't know this however, as I saw that they were full and parked elsewhere.
