Remind me again why it would be unreasonable to ban a fully function adult from touching the curtains?

It's a bendy pole. They do not need to be vigourously yanked with vigourously vigour to the ends of the pole.

If you do that then the poor smuck that closes them has to stand on the settee to put them back in the original place so they can open and shut with just a swish.

I don't see how it can be unreasonable to get a megaphone and scream

STOP FUCKING UP THE CURTAINS YOU BIG EVIL CURTAIN ANNHILATING BASTARD.

And yes this is the absolute most important thing I have to worry about. All other worries are mere vexations in comparison to this Angry

I mean a bendy pole is bad enough - but a dodgy pelmet would be worse.

DonkeyOaty · 30/05/2016 23:29

I am in stitches

Sew funny

FrayedHem · 30/05/2016 23:28

YANBU. Do not hold back your anger, you must rail against his pole bending ways. BTW if he is acting vigorously with the poles, you might want to check what he is doing with the hooks. Sorry Sad

Hastalapasta · 30/05/2016 23:28

YANBU, LTB. And it's good night from me, final curtain call.....

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2016 23:27

Anyway I can't remember what the question was

But YANBU

HoneyDragon · 30/05/2016 23:26

I have only myself to blame ....

GinIsIn · 30/05/2016 23:25

Agreed - that would make me go off the rails I think... Grin

Just try and turn a blind eye.

(Sorry...)

WorraLiberty · 30/05/2016 23:24

So he drew the curtains

What about the rest of the house, or is that real?

TheUnsullied · 30/05/2016 23:23

Yes Susan, it should be drawn to a close.

SusanAndBinkyRideForth · 30/05/2016 23:21

Do you think this thread might be getting off track?

Grin
BeckyMcDonald · 30/05/2016 23:21

It's quite clearly a hanging offence.

Oldraver · 30/05/2016 23:20

We have a Roman Blind inn the spare room (where OH sleeps when he's working nights)..I have replaced all the strings and bought a special cord lock.

But he still cant pull them up and look...well how they should..not once in 6 years...

I decided not to risk it with DS and have ordered a new fandangled chain pull track

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 30/05/2016 23:19

If he's been fiddling with your curtains but the pole is bendy after you've been playing with it vigorously either make him see his GP or LTB.
A woman has needs.

BathshebaDarkstone · 30/05/2016 23:19

Grin I have nothing to add.

SusanAndBinkyRideForth · 30/05/2016 23:19

I can't visualise what you are saying - any chance of a diagram? Just draw the curtains ...?

Grin
WorraLiberty · 30/05/2016 23:19

I'm hooked on this thread already.

HoneyDragon · 30/05/2016 23:19

OP posts:
MyKingdomForBrie · 30/05/2016 23:18

Sounds like you two are poles apart, but blinded by love..

Catzpyjamas · 30/05/2016 23:16

Could have been worse. If no one replied, you'd have been left hanging...

HoneyDragon · 30/05/2016 23:15

I post in AIBU. Do I get flamed? No. Do I get told I'm unreasonable? No. What do I get?

Curtain puns.

I hate you all

I don't think I could be trusted with a pelmet right now.

OP posts:
Catzpyjamas · 30/05/2016 23:12

I get roller blind rage. Is it really so difficult to use the chain thing? If you keep pulling the bottom of the blind, it won't go back up (like the last 2) Angry

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 30/05/2016 23:12

are we drawing this to a close so soon?

HoneyDragon · 30/05/2016 23:12

Worra you fucking shitweasel I did not deserve that Grin
