Meet jake, our lovely neighbourhood squirrel who has been in this tree since 6.30 am.
Wwyd?! I'm not sure ringing rspca or fire brigade is the answer.
We have 3 cats, but have kept them in, in hope he makes a bid for freedom!

I hope someone uses youcantjetwasasquirrel as their username. If I wasn't so fond of old Al I would name change.

ElornaElephant · 14/06/2016 17:51

I am pissing myself at "you can't jetwash a squirrel" Grin

katek · 05/06/2016 13:12

Saw this headline and sneaked in from the other place! Loved it...."you can't jet wash a squirrel!" Still laughing. Glad it all ended well or poor Jake might have been propelled at 170 psi across the garden.......RIP Jake.

Oh this thread has been a funny one!

exWifebeginsat40 · 04/06/2016 23:42

no, stmargs nobody except you has ever seen a REAL squirrel. round here it's all grown men in squirrel suits falling out of trees.

StMargsGirl · 04/06/2016 23:25

I think it's natural to be concerned. Don't know if any of you folk ever saw a real squirrel but we see them all the time and they move. Constantly. So I would be worried that it had been mauled or poisoned and was frightened. They never stay still so something is amiss.

Don't be sad vertical, he's probably off enjoying life.

This thread has made me appreciate squirrels on a whole new level...

We definitely need a squirrel emoji. All is quiet here without jake, my life feels a little empty without his rat like features!

I think we need a squirrel emoji! You can't jet wash a squirrel is priceless! Grin

KatherineMumsnet · 31/05/2016 17:29

Due to popular demand, we are moving this 'un to Classics. Grin

frankie001 · 31/05/2016 16:59

Agree, this should be in classics. And we need a squirrel emoji.

Flumpsnlumpsnstuff · 31/05/2016 15:40

I vote for 'you can't jet wash a squirrel ' to go in classics Grin

NeedACleverNN · 31/05/2016 14:55

I just love how all the way through the OP thinks she is completely sane and WE are the weird ones for not caring about the poor old squirrel

Stratter5 · 31/05/2016 14:15

Is this some really painful attempt to get into Classics? Hmm

ChaostheCat · 31/05/2016 13:44

When asked to do something which I know can't be done I will now just nod my head and say ' well, you can't jet wash a squirrel you know'Grin

averylongtimeago · 31/05/2016 13:27

It's a shame it's gone, Hugh Fearnly Whittingstall has a recipe for squirrel stew.
