TripTrap I don't think that we are bullying her. we're trying to make light of a shit situation that has been going on for too long. Perhaps she's been bullying all of us- the office and management historically have been very scared of her- she casts a horrid frosty atmosphere over the whole place and picks people off- most of the stuff we have done is to amuse each other when our appeals to the manager have failed.
The fridge is empty today and there's a sign on it(won't divulge sorry) but I'm getting some sandwiches in a minute and will enjoy eating them leisurely at my desk instead of having to frantically find something, queue for half my lunch break, then bolt it down whilst eying up FMFF's raw giblets sticking out of OUR FRIDGE!

Also place marking however I have just emptied half the work fridge of all out of date food. As some people may eat a few days out of date have restricted it to items dating back to Feb and March!

I was also thinking that if the fridge is supposed to be for lunches/drinks then unless you are all eating courgettes for lunch then you are being as bad as her, sort of.

Hope that the email works & it all gets sorted out.

I'm glad you've made that complaint to management and agree with others that tackling this in the health and safety route is the way forward and any more mass direct action could be positioned by FMFF as bullying, allowing her to blithely continue with her fridge hogging ways.

How many people are in the office? If everyone rocks up with one good sized carrier bag of groceries one morning, she's look a prize tit saying "MY groceries can go in but YOURS can't." Because her argument is where else would she keep them without them going bad...but if everyone else had things that were going to go bad or just cleverly resealed empty containers of things like perishable dairy it will force her to make the argument why her shopping is different from all other shopping.

I was thinking, did you say she does her shopping in work time? If she tries to claim costs of unchilled food (from your monkeying about with fuses), will the time on her receipt show she's been bunking work to buy lots of yogurt and raw beef?

Maybe you can ask for reimbursement of the costs of buying lunch daily, as you cannot keep your packed lunches in the fridge, and therefore have to buy it. Perhaps you could also add 15 minutes to your lunch breaks to compensate for time lost having to go to the shop.

If you all did it, then even the most ineffective manager would have to take notice.

Take a photo (minus courgettes) every day and send them too your manager. Eventually, hopefully, you'll wear them down and they'll sort it.

Get everyone to join in, with photos of warm lunches, to speed things up.

the woman in the queue in front of me at the local farm shop bought 19 courgettes earlier. Was so tempted to ask if she was going to stick Googly eyes on them!
