Sing the end bit of International Playboys. Can't help myself, it just comes out.

Go on then people. Out irrational odd habit that one....

ikiboo my Dad does the Shirley thing, too.

UptownFunk00 · 26/04/2016 23:16

If someone says something that is part of a lyric I'll always finish it.

At first I was afraid I'll start up with... I was petrified and then I get looked at strange. I just do it with people I know though, !95 strangers.

KanyesVest · 26/04/2016 23:14

I've just realised that when someone says "Wednesday" to me, I always think of the line from Don't Put Your Daughter on the Stage Mrs Worthington, "Wed-niz-day the twenty-third", and sing it in my head, on repeat, for about an hour. It's there now.

RedOnHerHedd · 26/04/2016 23:01

When watching Lady and the Tramp, on the song "He's a Tramp" I wait for DH to sing the "bum-ba-bum ruff" bit. I love that bit, I wait for it every time.

HoneyDragon · 26/04/2016 22:55

Ha ha in our old house on bin days I'd announce "I have been rudely awaken by the bin man" no matter what I was doing.

Whenever I tell DS1 to 'put your trousers on' I always have to add 'have a cup of tea and think about leaving the house'. He looks at me like Confused

OrangeFluff · 26/04/2016 22:47

Im a chef, and whenever I'm making or serving mashed potato I sing "mash, ah haaaa, it saves everyone of us!"

elephantoverthehill · 26/04/2016 22:08

When I was in Newcastle for the first time I could not stop 'The Fog on the Tyne' going through my head. I may have even hummed a bit Blush

MrsBimbles · 26/04/2016 21:58

I went on holiday with my DH (then DP) to Bergerac in France, and every time he said Bergerac I started singing the Bergerac theme tune. It's a miracle he stuck around to become my DH tbh.

Izzabellasasperella · 26/04/2016 21:54

If someone says "Thunder and lightning" I have to sing "very very frightening"

froubylou · 26/04/2016 21:52

If anyone asks 'where's my keys?' We all burst into 'where's my keys, where's my phone, where's my keys, where's my phone? Have you ever been in that situation where you lost your keys and your mobile phone'.

Annoys the fuck out of me.

We also have a whippet and whenever anyone asks 'is it a whippet?' Dp has to reply 'whippet, nah mate I bought it'.

Also annoys the fuck out of me lol.

SquinkiesRule · 26/04/2016 21:48

I work in a hospital and tend to sing usually in my head theres a song for just about everything. Patient names especially, I find myself singing "Come of Eileen" Lots of names rhyme with Joleen, so that one gets used often.
Dh does the Don't call me shirley, and Dd and I sing We built the pyramids and the Bang part.

SmallLegsOrSmallEggs · 26/04/2016 21:42

I make horse (raspberry) noises if I am drunk going upstairs.

I sigh when I walk through doors if there is a temperature differential.

Also do Flash Ahh (also Macromedia user)

"Send Ajax out to scour the universe" if we are cleaning.

If I say "I am tired/bored/starving" dp will say "I'm {name}. Pleased to meet you".

He. Is. 46. Ffs.

I sing "upturned plug" (Billy Joel) if I see a plug about to get stood on (it's an Adam and Joe popoppriation)

And if someone asks "did it rain" or "did you have fun" or virtually any did question I reply "nod alllll the time" in the tome in the voice of the little boy from the Turkey Drummers advert (from the 80sBlush)

YabuDabbaDoo · 26/04/2016 21:28

Also... If I have a dirty thought in an inappropriate place (e.g. when bored at work) I actually do an innocent milkman-style whistle

ThoraGruntwhistle · 26/04/2016 21:28

I always sing to the end bit of the Kimmy Schmidt theme tune. Oooooooooh, dammit!

Ihangmyknickersontheline · 26/04/2016 21:28

How funny...'Where's me jumper?'..used to sing that all the time. Looking for school trousers around the house often inspires a "Donald, where's ya Troozers" type ditty, and I often still sing "opal fruits, made to make your mouth water" whenever I see a packet of 'Starbursts'..will always be opal fruits to me

SmokingGun · 26/04/2016 21:27

I meant say not saw!

SmokingGun · 26/04/2016 21:26

If I saw something bad (stuff I really don't want to happen) or even think it then I have to say touch wood and put my hand on my head. Even invert important work meetings. I have this irrational fear that I'm jinxing someone if I don't Blush

YabuDabbaDoo · 26/04/2016 21:26

I often sing Bob Marley's "Jammin'" to broken printers.

And when me and DC set off in the car I shout "And Off! We! Go!" then we all strike up "For a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down..."

mellysam · 26/04/2016 21:24

JessTitchener your DH's reaction to 'pelvis' and Justmuddlingalong your "choo choo" actually have me crying with laughter!!!!
My DH playing xbox next to me thinks I've gone mad Grin

Donatellalymanmoss · 26/04/2016 21:16

When ever I tell someone I've been for a long walk I often add luckily not off a short pier.

Why am I such a twat? HmmBlush

amysmummy12345 · 26/04/2016 21:16

If anyone asks "would I?" I always respond with mostly under my breath "fuck off then peg leg"
It comes from a joke my old boss used to recount about someone with a wooden eye and a wooden leg... I can't even remember the joke but I have to say it every time!

Also if someone asks what day it is I always respond with e.g. "it's Tuesday... All day... Only til midnight" people must think I'm a twat Confused

MsRinky · 26/04/2016 21:15

When the news mentions Ban Ki-Moon I sing the guitar hook from Marquee Moon by Television. I was concerned about him leaving the UN, but happily, his successor is Song Min-Soon, which fits almost as well, very considerate of them.

I have a friend called Una. I've never seen her wear a white jumper. Despite this, her name as far as my husband is concerned is Una Pullover Blanca.

NarcyCow · 26/04/2016 21:12

God, yes, it's always time for lunch in my head. Even when people in work ask me the time, I can't stop it coming out. It's terribly irritating.

Hammer time, too.

We have plenty of other catchphrases in this house but they're just random shite we made up, nothing anyone would recognise.

BertieBotts · 26/04/2016 21:05

Every time I say I'm cold DH sings the Red Dwarf theme tune. Or sometimes he just says it like a series of questions. Confused
