Sing the end bit of International Playboys. Can't help myself, it just comes out.

Go on then people. Out irrational odd habit that one....

I LOVE these. Makes me feel quite at home.

{EatShitDerek - please may I come and live with you?}

cruikshank · 27/04/2016 02:06

Yes, the I can has cheezburger is apparently a lolcats thing. I only know because someone told me that once. I don't know what a lolcats thing is. But I think it is linked to saying 'nom nom nom' (which is of course punishable by death).

I do loads of these, especially the 'Flash, saviour of the bath-y-verse' (twat that I am) and 'Stop, hammertime' (which option you go for depends on your age, obvs). I love love love the cat/circle of life thing.

I also, much to the kids' disgust, invent new variations on that song that goes (I don't even know what it's called) 'I see you baby'. So for example 'I see you baby ... wearing those trousers ... wearing those trousers... wearing those trousers' or 'I see you baby... washing that cup ... washing that cup ... washing that cup'. Yes, I am a bellend.

If for any reason I have to count to five, I used to sing Once I caught a fish alive.

Now DD's older and we're past the toddler phase, I've reverted to Senses working ov-er-time.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 27/04/2016 01:50

My DH, again, in Indian restaurants, "can I have the Tarka Dhal please? It's like Tikka, only a little Otter".

Every bloody time.

Isn't I can has cheezburger a cat meme thing?

Tate15 · 27/04/2016 01:46

When my daughter gets up from a lie in and I see her, I often exclaim, "Gordon's Alive!" as spoken by Brian Blessed in Flash Gordon.

ParadiseCity · 27/04/2016 01:03

I do these. All of them. Hello fellow twats.

I am also afflicted that if anyone says momentum I have to chip in 'do do do do do'. If anything is bizarre I have to say 'how bizarre how bizarre' and if someone says 'she's lying' I burst into Jimmy Nail.

donajimena · 27/04/2016 00:50

Where did the cheeseburger thing come from? If we go to Mcdonalds my children always say 'you want chesburger? I can has a chesburger? I've started saying it now...

EBearhug · 27/04/2016 00:47

Papercuts get, "Oh my God! I'm going to die!" in massively over-dramatic tones. Because they are the most dangerous injury known to man, after all.

If it's someone else's paper cut, I just say, "oh well, that's it, you're going to die," in very matter of fact tones.

HesterLee · 27/04/2016 00:46

"The Machine That Goes Ping" gets quoted at work a lot (hospital).

Setting off to drive home: "Home, James, and don't spare the horses"

If I do something that impresses DP, he says in a faux French accent "You Eenglish you arre so clevair"

Of himself he often claims "They say he came from Cincinnati" - I have no idea where this comes from, anyone know?

MangoUnchained · 27/04/2016 00:37

When someone says, "It's nice to see you" I have to say, "To see you nice!"

I like to say "nice to see you sober." Grin

Disneyddog · 27/04/2016 00:28

When we drive through tunnels on the M25 DH and I have to say "And it's go, go, go at the Monaco Grand Prix" in the style of Murray Walker!

Wonder how many posters on this thread also get earworms....

Itslikeyoureadmymind · 27/04/2016 00:01

If I (or anyone else in earshot) says "you're terrible" I immediately say "Muriel". It was one of the things that bonded me and DP.

He also says the Shirley thing.

I also hum "tikka chance, tikka chance, tikka tikka chance chance" when I see chicken tikka.

Also do the claps to the friends theme music.

HoneyDragon · 26/04/2016 23:57

.Oh and whenever I heard In The Air Tonight I have to do a big drum bash in the air

Add Simon & Garfunkrls The Boxer to that. I know I'm with normal folk when people air drum the crash.

Oh and I get my drum sticks out for Iggy Pop Passenger to, but I think doing that's compulsory.

(Everyone carries invisible drumsticks don't they?)

I still sing the sultans of ping every time I misplace my knitwear

I thought I was the only one Hugo! Always want to ask for 2 pints of raza at the bar as well Grin

SingingSands · 26/04/2016 23:40

If we're talking about food and somebody mentions cheeseburger, it sets me off to say "cheeseburger! cheeseburger! cheeseburger!" From a (very old) Saturday Night Live sketch.

EBearhug · 26/04/2016 23:37

And we only have 14 hours to save the Earth!

EBearhug · 26/04/2016 23:36

Whenever Tomasz is doing BBC weather, I have to say, "Boom Schafernaker!"

And I know I'm not the only one.

Girlwhowearsglasses · 26/04/2016 23:29

Re: 'Flash! ah-ahh'
Sometimes I also have 'Flash! I love you, but we only have 24 hours to save the Earth!' In my head too

elephantoverthehill · 26/04/2016 23:23

I put the lead line into a lesson on Monday, it was only as I uttered it I realised what I had said;
'Today is gonna be the day'
A number of 15 year olds replied quite correctly.
