House of Cards isn't really show about American politics. Though it is about ways and means.

Quiero · 22/03/2016 22:31

7days. I think it's perfectly reasonable to not fully understand or know about American Politics.

I think it's decidedly worrying that someone cannot tell the difference between Bill and Hillary Clinton. I'm not sure that requires any political knowledge...just an actual semi functional brain.

Lol at big bush little bush Grin

Obama has done a lot, the Affordable Care Act alone is historic.

I don't think you can underestimate racism in the underselling of his presidency.

I was in a burger joint in California a couple of weeks ago (had to go over for work - it's a hard life) overhearing the two guys at the next table. One was telling the other that he was certain Obama "was a Muslim" - he could "tell by the way he said the name of that Mosque he went to". These people were ordinary looking and deadly serious. We were not in a redneck area - this is silicon valley.

Wasn't William McKinley assassinated as well?

Tangfastics · 22/03/2016 22:28

I loved the West Wing but House of Cards is sinister

ICJump · 22/03/2016 22:28

Oh and do you think Sam would have gone on to run for president eventually ?

ICJump · 22/03/2016 22:27

Lincoln, Kennedy?

ThomasRichard · 22/03/2016 22:27

And Lincoln

7Days · 22/03/2016 22:24

Oh leave off the snidiness for God's sake. Half the comments are ripping the piss and why the fuck should any non American know the legalities of the presidencies? Don't be cowbags

Northernlurker · 22/03/2016 22:24

One Kennedy (bobbie was only a candidate)

ThomasRichard · 22/03/2016 22:23

Big Bush, little Bush, cardboard box Bush!

lostincumbria · 22/03/2016 22:23

I've learnt so much tonight.

My youngest is doing some homework on the UN and I have to go and help him make changes. He thinks Boutros Boutros Ghali is one man!

Foolish boy...

SurferJet · 22/03/2016 22:23

Two of the Kennedys - all I can think of?

Vastra · 22/03/2016 22:21

Agreed Ghanagirl and frighteningly, Trump was very vocal on that front. I'd vote Hillary over him all day long. In fact, I'd vote Honey Boo Boo over him.

PurpleDaisies · 22/03/2016 22:21

House of cards isn't as good. Nothing is as good. Sad

Tangfastics · 22/03/2016 22:21
