For my 15 and 16 year old sons?
(If not a very healthy one but that's not my question Grin)

Ham and cheese salad sandwich, a frube and a wafer bar.

I am doing the next 2 weeks packed lunches for the freezer and this is being hotly contested in my house right now Grin

My 3 ds's are 20 , 17 and 15.

To me , that is adequate for a lunch with a drink, no need for anymore.

bippityboppitypoo · 06/06/2015 18:00

I put more then that in my five year olds packed lunch

TheFairyCaravan · 06/06/2015 17:59

No it's not. My two (18&20) would be still be hungry after eating that.

Also...WHY are you freezing sandwiches!

^^Agree

FenellaFellorick · 06/06/2015 17:59

Because i cannot be arsed to do sandwiches every morning. Grin they survive well and I get no complaints about that.

However, judging by your horrified replies I am as unreasonable as they say I am.

I suppose I'd best add another sandwich. Bugger. Grin

I agree with everyone else. My four year old has bigger packed lunches than that.

Bair · 06/06/2015 17:58

Depends on appetite, my pre teen would have that plus some fruit and some crackers (bean pole with hollow legs).

Does the sandwich freezing work okay? Do they still taste fresh-ish?

SquigglyLine · 06/06/2015 17:58

xposted with almost everyone!

SuperFlyHigh · 06/06/2015 17:57

you could also… add a muller rice or yogurt for calcium and the rice fills them up.

they used to do mini ones of those (Asda?) but maybe not now - the muller rice.

Ludways · 06/06/2015 17:57

My 9 yo has more than that in her packed lunch.

WaferInMyCoffee · 06/06/2015 17:57

YABU! all my kids eat bigger lunches than that and they are all under 10!

SquigglyLine · 06/06/2015 17:57

Actually, I think it's a bit small for teenage boys! I give my super-skinny 7 yo DS more than that (although the sandwich would be smaller for him). I would add a piece of fruit & some nuts, and also I'd change the wafer bar for something a bit more filling like a flapjack or a muesli bar - wafers are all air.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/06/2015 17:57

My 2yo has more than that Grin

YABU

SuperFlyHigh · 06/06/2015 17:57

I agree with the others two sandwiches and add at least an apple or banana in there too.

I'd replace the wafer bar with a Soreen lunch bar too or flapjack.

MrsNextDoor · 06/06/2015 17:56

Also...WHY are you freezing sandwiches! Blech!

MrsNextDoor · 06/06/2015 17:56

Oh gosh no! YABU.

My ten year old has more and she's a skinny mini.

ItsTricky · 06/06/2015 17:55

Most teens would easily eat two of those sandwiches

Wittynewnameifonly · 06/06/2015 17:55

That would not be enough for my 14yo DS. He eats loads and would be hungry if that was his only food during the day.
