Aibu over lady using my parking spaces.

We live in a housing estate and each house or flat has one or two spaces allocated to them. Most of the spaces are directly outside our houses except a few that are round the side that have garages. The spaces aren't numbered but everyone seems to know who's is whose. There's a new neighbour that has moved in next door to me (a corner house) and has a garage parking space round the back of her house, however she uses both my spaces as she parks in the middle of them. It's quite annoying when there's nowhere else to park as you have to park further down the road.

I went over today and introduced myself and poilitley told her the spaces were mine and hers was round the back but she was welcome to use our other space when we don't have guests but could she park to one side so I can fit my car next to hers. She looked at me with a blank expression, said no and shut the door on me! What do I do now!? I just stood there for a moment open mouthed and then went home.

Now I'm not sure if she has mobility problems as she's not exactly nimble anymore (about 65) but I am shocked at her one word reply!

Whoop! Well done NAR and FONAR.

Though I am sad that there is no POOSONAR.

TheDailyWail · 19/02/2015 16:18

All we need now is for NDN to leave a note for NannyPlum (with a lovely bottle of wine) to apologise for her rudeness and a promise that she will never park in other people's spaces again (wine and note for NAR too)

AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

THE END

Woohooooo!

Nannyplum2015 · 19/02/2015 16:12

Hi, I honestly tried to update this morning but there was an error message and mn wouldn't let me in!

So NAR left for work this morning and fonars is still up against her drivers car. Pp was right that each set of parking bays is surrounded by a verge. Garage spaces are around the back of the houses.

Ndn has been out with face like a cats bum and tried to get in via her passenger door with no success. There wasn't much effort though fr what I could see. She knocked on nars door with no reply. Not sure if nars wife was in or not. She stood outside looking lost for a few seconds and retreated back home.

And me, a poor penshner...

SirChenjin · 19/02/2015 13:42

SauvignonBlanche · 19/02/2015 13:35

DidoTheDodo · 19/02/2015 13:34

Jacana if you're suggesting a siege situation, let's plan ahead. Medieval reenactor wading in for siege-breaking suggestions!

Catapault:

  • decomposing/diseased carcasses
  • bee hives
  • basket of snakes
  • head of a loved one (I doubt she has any, though)

Undermining

Cut off (or poison) water supply

Capture her couriers. Ritually kill them while she watches.

That's enough to be getting on with...

HTH Grin

Jacana · 19/02/2015 12:23

I've got that old Elton John song as an ear worm now, you know, the one that goes"it's sad, so sad, and now it's getting more and more absurd"..then it goes on "sorry seems to be the hardest word"

Could have been written just for herGrin

Bet she's counting her tins of beans and calculating how long she can hold out for....
