I am male, mid 20's and grew up with this technology.
Wondering what something means?
Wondering how to do something?
Wondering how your kids did something?
Wondering if you should let your kids do something?

I don't think I've ever noticed that. But it would do for every time I've thought, I wish I could just go to my last post in this thread.

BertieBotts · 15/02/2015 09:15

EBear no, there's usually an option to click on the bottom right corner of a post to mark your place and the thread will magically zoom to that page and post next time you come. But it's broken at the moment. (If you've never seen it, you need to activate it in Customise, when it's fixed obv :))

BitOutOfPractice · 15/02/2015 09:11

Backlight. Try and imagine doing this

You walk into a meeting of, say, a book club. All women, all over 25.

Without being invited you barge into the room and say "hey, you can all stop doing whatever it is you're doing because I'm here. A man. And a young ones at that. Now I know that being women, and of a certain age, you're bound to be a bit clueless so I'm here to sort out all your problems for you. What with being young. And male and all"

Can you imagine the reaction you'd get?

Because that's what you did here

It was crass and patronising and you've got a far funnier reaction than you deserved.

PacificDogwood · 15/02/2015 09:02

Ok, just caught up.

Blacklight, if you are still unable to see where you were wrong less than diplomatic, I don't think that there is anything anybody can say that has not already been said to try and explain it to you.

It's been educational and fun in places, but now this thread is depressing me.

NinjaLeprechaun · 15/02/2015 08:49

I actually do have my period. If anyone wants to sync with me via the interweb, go ahead. I am willing to share my pain.
Is that what 'sync with other devices' means?

CosmicDespot · 15/02/2015 08:37

I remember the Tom Peck thread WereJamming. That one made me laugh, too.

OP, are you reading the same thread as the rest of us? Your replies are a bit peculiar.

Opopanax · 15/02/2015 08:22

I am genuinely bemused by the showing off comment and by the attempt to join in with the non-existent showing off. If blacklight wants to explain that to me, I'm all ears.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 15/02/2015 03:30

I think more time spent shaving your hands and less time touching yourself, would make the world a more knowledgable place.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 15/02/2015 03:28

Gosh, are you an expert in law too?!

Is it possible to be libellous when you're A) criticised under an anonymous identity (I understand there must be some kind of loss to those libelled for it to matter) and B) the statement is merely answering the perceived question raised by you (i.e. What we hate about t'internet) and is not a statement of fact? Confused

I am not an expert in anything. But darn it I'd be surprised if anyone was genuinely this dense.

I'm also surprised you haven't realised that you're a lot older than a lot of mumsnetters. There is no "Mumsnet age" we are all simply adults (male and female too!) with an enormous pool of knowledge and skills. One person can't compete and cannot offer what we don't already have in our midst.

You have posted as though we are all one big stereotypical "mum", flapping about and not really knowing what we're doing. We're not. We're all individuals (I'm not!).

You are a very silly sausage.

This is an odd, unnecessary thread. You are an odd, unnecessary poster.

One second you're saying "it's just words on a screen" the next we are all bullying you :o

EBearhug · 15/02/2015 03:22

I get the option to watch this thread (assuming that's what people mean by bookmarking) - so not quite sure why others don't. Am on my phone just now.

Agrestic · 15/02/2015 02:45

Blacklight

I want to download the Ikea kitchen planner onto my Samsung note pad but when I try it says I need to download Chrome, Firefox or something else to proceed. I have the latest Chrome install. Tried Firefox and still no joy. Any ideas?

smotheroffive · 15/02/2015 02:32

oh dear, he went for it - extremely under a bridge too far

Confused
Blacklight · 15/02/2015 02:18

@BIWI

Can we get a hug? I cried when I was told.

@WereJamming

From what you posted I can only presume you are attempting libellous remarks against me? Is this the case?

smotheroffive · 15/02/2015 02:01

or the premis that there's no such thing as bad press - go for it!

smotheroffive · 15/02/2015 01:59

Genuine blindness on OP's part and refusal to see when shown, as in, uphisownarsedness or trolling are my offers.

the clue might have been I am everything you hate about people on the internet all very strange and trollish.

BertieBotts · 15/02/2015 01:57

I don't know. But I am really missing the bookmarks feature on this thread. :(

BIWI · 15/02/2015 01:56

Oh, and my mum is dead too.

UnacceptableWidge · 15/02/2015 01:50

Oh my!
This is still happening, wow!

I've only skin read the latest updates from OP but seems we've really got stuck into this doesn't it?

What you after OP?
Adoration?
Respect?

This is one of the weirdest things I've come across on here.
It truly is bizarre.

You post a very patronising OP, get into a huff, decided you're being bullied but keep coming back spouting superiority and...
...well, and what?

Anyone have any clue what this is all about?
I'd hide the thread but it's so intriguing I just can't help coming back to see if it's been resolved in any way.

smotheroffive · 15/02/2015 01:43

oh! x-posted.
