I love the exploding boob!

My car mirror gets a splattering of pus from time to time. Its the best place to do face spots, you can get really close.

DH was walking in the woods and a tree/big branch had fallen across the path, wedging against another tree.

He bent down to go under it, but didn't quite bend down far enough and caught his head on the branches as he went under (turned out it was full of thorns which cut his head - this is relevant!). It hurt like hell and bled but didn't think much of it at the time.

Three weeks later, his cut had turned into a massive painful lump. After pinning him down talking him around, he let me have a poke.

There was a scab there that I picked off. I gave the lump a squeeze and POP, out came an explosion of puss, and it kept coming and coming.

After all the puss drained out, there was still a hard lump. I squeezed it further and a massive, and I mean bloody huge, thorn came out

It left a bloody huge hole in DHs head. Literally, a big circular, perfect hole.

I took bloody loads of photos while dribbling with joy It was years ago, I'll have to dig them out one day.

I'm a lurker and have often wondered about posting my tale.

I gave birth to DD last year and after struggling like hell for 8 weeks I gave up breastfeeding. My left breast had been tender for about 3 weeks prior to this and had a swelling that prevented DD from latching on. I'd also had mastitis and a cracked nipple in the same breast but despite 2 visits to the GP, chats with the health visitor and a BF consultant they all told me it was normal swelling that would go down eventually.

Long story short, 2 weeks later I was in the shower when I noticed a small spot on the side of my breast. I poked it and it suddenly erupted and pus POURED out of the hole. I'm not kidding when I say there was probably a pint of the stuff. I got DH to take a photo of the carnage and promptly went to A&E where they diagnosed an abscess: I had to go back every week for a month to get it drained, as well as taking super-strength antibiotics.

I was bloody lucky in some respects that it didn't turn out worse, but lesson learnt - trust your instincts.

And yes, I still have the photos

Plane loos! Always show up things I never knew I had. I always have a good squeeze. I need a mirror like that at home.

I have a really blackheady nose and squeezed it so much over so many years I have some little broken capillaries around my nostrils :(

Ahhh my bollicle. 8x5cm mass of fanjo boil that had its own live thread whereupon lovely mumsnetters got me to go to the hospital.

It was removed under GA, BUT! It refills! Think it's a pregnancy thing but last time I re squeezed, it shot across the bathroom and up the roller blind.

I also had one years ago on the neighbouring flap (!) that crunched out slowly and was grey and mutton pie filling esque!

Ouch - travelodge bathrooms do the same!

Normally before my period I get loads of spots on my chin, but this month has been a real let down.

I remember 2 I had on my armpits. One was right in the crease, huge, hurt so much to squeeze but I went for it and it made a pfft noise.

Other one was a small bump, really hurt, I squeezed it and it just exploded.

The best spots are ear spots because you can really hear them go.

Being a sporner can be bad, I actively look for suspicious lumps and bumps to squeeze and have left scars over myself

I get boils in my inner thigh, unfortunately I never manage to wait until they are fully ripe. But when I do, man, it hurts so much, but then the thick pus oozes out it is the best feeling ever. They don't make a sound, but I FEEL them popping.
I have a spot/cyst on my cheek. It started last winter, I spent a happy week squeezing it and yards and yards of stringy, coiling, white stuff came out. Then it cleared and it is slowly refilling. Give it a few more weeks.
Another time I had a spot on my head, my sister was cutting my hair and she said you have a spot, I MUST attend to it. So she squeezed it. She kept making those noises like she was sacrificing herself but I knew she was LOVING IT and I was a bit pissed because really, it was my spot.
I woke up with a spot this morning, the first in months. It really hurts so hopefully it will be a good harvest.

I get the occasional boil on the underside of my bum. I have to lance it and it just gushes with watery blood to the point I've stained underwear when doing it.

I had what I think was an infected tear duct. Basically I had a pea-sized lump in the corner of my eye, next to my nose which brewed nicely for around a month.

Gradually it developed a head, and one day I squeezed it in front of the mirror. Well, it was just fantastic. It burst perfectly - an initial "pft" noise accompanied by the positive tactile feedback of pressure being released. A greasy clump of pus shot onto the mirror, and stuck to it - with a small trail of yellow clear fatty liquid slowly dribbling down the glass from where it clung.

Then I squeezed the remaining pus and oily grease from my eye and it turned to bright red blood which oozed profusely, which left me looking like i was weeping blood like some kind of fucked-up religious artefact.

It was the best day ever.

Pus plug flew out of my chin onto the mirror.

Dh has some old piercing holes. I've got to pace myself but they are the gift that keep on giving!

Iv just had one last squeeze of infamous fanjo spot and there was a definite internal 'pop' felt. But alas no more pus

mamalazarou what do you use to syringe your ears,please? And then, is there some special mirror to use to look in them? (over-invested in looking into my own ear, me.Obv.)

Oh just remembered my teenage sisters whitlow that spread to whole tip of her thumb. It was so bad she couldnt bend her thumb. I told her to lance it. So I got her a sterile needle and a bowl of salt water. The gunk that came out of it. Little cow wouldnt let me do it

Worst bit is, there was still more gunk, she told me she stuck a pin into various points on her thumb even in the pad of her finger and squeeze and all the holes oozed with pus. Gutted I werent there.

She also had a Meibomian cyst, apparently the gunk was so thick it was like oil, they had to cut out the cyst.
