I have two. I told a friend totally out of the blue that Michael Jackson would be dead six weeks from now, he was. I pointed at the screen and told a friend whilst watching Loose Women that Linda Bellingham would die soon of cancer.
I dunno why i felt compelled to say those things but i felt i needed to.

No criticising, hairsplitting or arguing pleae.

Be brave and tell. :)

I was eating a bag of Skittles once and thought 'The next one will be red.'
And it was.

kettlepot · 17/11/2014 19:30

I dreamt a Virgin Galactic test flight crashed, about a week before it just happened. In my dream there was also a survivor.

DH thinks I'm odd!

NoTeaForMe · 17/11/2014 19:28

LavenderHoney what did your cousin invent?!

CormoranStrike · 17/11/2014 19:27

Used to work with various policemen, though not myself in the police. One told me this story.

He used to work up north, Inverness I think, pand moved to Central Scotland, marrying and bringing up his family near Stirling - so approx 100 miles away.

They got friendly with a neighbouring family and one night having dinner at their house he and the other husband worked out they shared a birthday, same year too. The neighbour said the co-incidences end there, as I was born at Raigmore, Inverness. Me too, said the cop.

Can't remember now if they dug our their birth certs, or phoned their mums, but it turns out they were both born at the exact same time, to the minute, one room apart, and then ended up as next door neighbours.

I popped into the health shop next to my work one lunchtime and Noel Edmunds was in there Confused

When I was about 13 I dreamt that my father's boss (whom I had never met) died in a car crash.
She died in a car crash the following week.

Hoppinggreen · 17/11/2014 19:16

I'm sure that the lady driving the car behind me the other day was naked.
She was following me for ages and I got a good look at her. No one believes me.
Also, my Dad was mentally ill and had no impulse control, he used to do all sorts of bizarre things. He bought me a piglet once and another time someone offered him a lamb and he brought it home. He once painted his car pink because he felt like it.
He used to do all sorts of bizarre things that people would think I am making it up

springalong · 17/11/2014 19:07

Mine is a bit tame compared to some of these but here goes. Years ago, sitting in the back row at the Cottesloe theatre watching (I think) some gory Elizabethan drama. Looked behind me and there was Dustin Hoffman leaning on the rail behind me. Nudged Mum next to me, loud stage whisper. She looks up and he's gone. Filthy look from Mum to me. Then 5 seconds later she looks up and he's now standing behind her. She tells the story now as if I wasn't there. But it was the now he's there, now he's gone moment that was so funny :)

I told DH that Keith floyd was going to die soon whilst watching the Keith Allen / floyd documentary. Poor Keith floyd died whilst watching the documentary.

ProfYaffle · 17/11/2014 18:59

madhairday friend of mine has a similar tale. He was on the beach near Sandringham and saw Prince Philip with his trousers rolled up his knees paddling!

Trooperslane · 17/11/2014 18:58

My DM died on the same day as my DF, X no of years apart.

She died at several minutes after midnight.

She held on Sad.

madhairday · 17/11/2014 18:56

Yes I do. When I was 13 my parents and I bumped into Prince Charles and the Queen Mother walking around Sandringham. Their corgi tried to hump my golden retriever. Prince Charles said 'you're too old for that' to the corgi .

This is really, honestly true.

lavenderhoney · 17/11/2014 18:52

My dm and the queen used to write to each other. Only found out when dm died and found letters in the safe.

I have a BBF who is v influential in the USA politics and here. We talk every day. Even I dont believe it sometimes:)

I am actually very very poor but put on a good show.

I am a lot older than people think:)

My aged uncle is very very influential in the arts/ theatre knows everyone, darling. And he does:)

My wild child relative pulled herself together and runs a private bank. ( the police called her parents back from holidays abroad after the destruction of the house after a house party went very wrong) she lived in a caravan for a bit in disgrace then decided to get on it:)

My cousin invented something at 14 which has seen him never having to work again.

I don't want my stbdh back. Ever.

Sabrinnnnnnnna · 17/11/2014 18:47

I was asleep in bed with my uni boyfriend.

I had the most vivid dream - a man grabbed me behind, and was strangling me, really digging his fingers into my throat. It felt so real that on waking I told bf all about it.

He said he had dreamed that there was a burglar, and he grabbed him from behind, and was holding a knife to his throat! I think he was acting out his dream on me in his sleep Shock

SuburbanCrofter · 17/11/2014 18:47

Driving along a rural road really early in the morning, I saw a crop circle.

Yesyesanamechange · 17/11/2014 18:46

When I was in hospital having ds he was really ill and transferred to special care. I was in a room on my own and a bird flew in. I became completely hysterical because my nan always used to say a bird indoors meant a death in the family and the nice midwife came in and helped me shoo the bird away. A couple of hours later my mum came in and told me that my dsis had called her and had had a miscarriage that day. Never told my dsis about the bird and my mum begged me never to tell my nan.

SnakeyMcBadass · 17/11/2014 18:46

A man threw himself in front of DH's car when I was in labour with DC1. DH had to be relayed to the hospital by police escort and arrived at the hospital 30 minutes before the birth. It was like an episode of Eastenders.

lurkingfromhome · 17/11/2014 18:44

DH and his now best friend were chatting once about growing up (in separate cities). Best friend was relating a tale of how when he was a young teenager they had a lovely student renting a room in the family house for a year who he had a massive crush on. She had a boyfriend from another city who would come over and she would sneak him into her room at night. Best friend would lie in bed green with envy at the goings-on, wishing he was that boyfriend.

It all turned out that DH had been that boyfriend, but he didn't actually meet now best friend for around another 15 years, when they were both living in an entirely different city.

NeedsAsockamnesty · 17/11/2014 18:38

I once completely accidentally flashed (if I'm honest it was more than a flash) a high profile Tory MP who then apologised to me for embarrassing me

Quiero · 17/11/2014 18:37

Dida please, please! please tell the story Grin

Quiero · 17/11/2014 18:37

From finding out I was pregnant with DC1 to when I gave birth I woke up at exactly the same time every night. I would check the clock and it was always 2.22. It stopped once I gave birth.

6 months later my mam died at exactly 2.22am. I think it's a coincidence but DH thinks woo.

Didactylos · 17/11/2014 18:32

mine involves an elderly diplomat and a live pine marten

nothing dodgy but amusing
but the circumstances leading to it all were utterly ridiculous

Northumberlandlass · 17/11/2014 18:31

I am adding DH's story.
He was 11 and had been in a lot of trouble at school. His Dad beat him (usual occurrence Sad) and he ran away.

Sitting in the local park, he was really upset & scared. He said to himself that he would behave at school (strict catholic school) if God showed himself to be real.
He said to himself, that if God is real a tall man with a long beard & a hat would walk around the corner within the next minute.

Sure enough in less than a minute a tall man with long beard & a hat walked around the corner & straight passed him!!!

I shivered when he told me.

something2say · 17/11/2014 18:28

I do front line work for people at risk of harm. None of them would ever guess that my own story was much worse than pretty much all of the ones I have come across professionally. Not all mind.

Boomtownsurprise · 17/11/2014 18:27

I worked for a guy who now works directly to Obama. I see him on tv sometimes. It's bizarre. I'm one step off 'knowing' (ahem) POTUS!

I've worked at bonhams auction house. Had a Chinese table delivered that consisted of small drawers all over it. Some secret. My colleague took it apart to clean. I walked in to find her surrounded by drawers that she didn't know the order of returning to the frame. Took several colleagues a week to put back together.

I put diesel in a top of the range Merc. It was a petrol car.

I'll stop. A couple more will out me!
