I have two. I told a friend totally out of the blue that Michael Jackson would be dead six weeks from now, he was. I pointed at the screen and told a friend whilst watching Loose Women that Linda Bellingham would die soon of cancer.
I dunno why i felt compelled to say those things but i felt i needed to.

No criticising, hairsplitting or arguing pleae.

Be brave and tell. :)

I have quite a few woo stories but one sticks out to me. Dh died 10 years ago this year. He was only 29 and we had 3 young children. A year or so after he died I dreamt about him, as I did and still do regularly. He said to me "watch out for l and k, ( the names of my dnephews), and be careful about Oscar". Shortly after my dsis and her dp split up as he was having an affair. I helped dsis out quite a lot with my dnephews. Also my ds2 told me he was being bullied at school and that the child's name was Oscar. To top it off, our cat, named Oscar came onto my bed one morning howling in pain, bleeding everywhere. He had somehow torn the inside of his thigh and needed loads of stitches and antibiotics. He got well after I nursed him, then disappeared forever. He had come into our lives in a similar way, just appeared one day and wouldn't leave us alone.

A few years after my exH died I dreamt I was walking through a shopping mall and I saw him walking towards me. He smiled, said 'hi' and asked how I was doing . I was a bit embarrassed, because I knew he was dead, but didn't want to point it out, but eventually blurted ' aren't you er ..'
'Dead?'he answered ' yeah but its all cool'
He asked me if our daughters were around and I told him they were upstairs, did he want me to get them?
He said 'no, but tell them I love them' and walked off into the crowd.

We had a very acrimonious relationship and divorce and he eventually died of drink/ drugs, but since this dream I have no bad feelings towards him.

When I was a teenager I used to play darts in the pub - I was tolerably good, not brilliant, but I had a reputation for finishing games. Somehow I could "think" the dart into the double at the end & hardly ever missed - sometimes it seemed to swerve somehow Confused

Also as a teen I would will things to go wrong happen & they mostly did - people tripping, missing goals - that sort of thing Grin

DH & I were travelling in Australia & hadn't spoken to our parents for several weeks. I suddenly had an overwhelming feeling that something was very wrong at home - all I could think of was that DF must have had a car accident - he was a travelling salesman. We found a phone box & I rang - DF was fine but DM was all teary & said she had been wondering how to get hold of me (no mobiles then). She had just been diagnosed with breast cancer.

A very sad and a bit of a disturbing story really.

It was when Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman disappeared. The tv crews were going about interviewing people when they spoke to the school caretaker. A voice popped into my head (literally, like it was someone speaking to me) and said "he did it". And of course he had done it, it was Ian Huntley.

I always felt like I should have said something to the authorities because it took several more days before they found the girls' bodies. But would anyone have taken it seriously? A voice in my head?

calpolsyringes · 16/03/2016 22:02

StillMedusa I had a v similar experience. Dad died, neither him or I are remotely woo. Meet him in dream, tells me that he "went through" v easily but hated the paperwork! Asked him to tell me more and he said it "didn't work that way" but all great. He was wearing a specific tie, not the one we sent to funeral place. Day of funeral mum tells me she swapped his tie for (one he was wearing) at last minute no time to tell me. Utterly baffled.

Think I have posted this before but this makes me believe in ghosts spirits.

Mil had a dog that adored my son. When son stayed over regularly at MIL the dog would either sleep on his bed or in the doorway of his room to protect him at night.
She only ever went upstairs when my son stayed as she liked the settee normally.
The dog had never had puppies but was such a softie but treated my son like one of her pups.

Anyway one night she died at MIL , we didn't know she had died but that night my son woke up and said 'goldie is in my room'
I told my son he was just dreaming but he was insistent.
Next morning we find out she had died.
It was a bit of a shock as my son never had dreamed she was in his room before or since then.

I like to think she came to say goodbye to my son.

FluffyRaggies (I think it's you; sorry if not!) - your ufo story really interests me.

How far above you do you think the object was?

How big - ie how much of the sky did it blot out? Was it, like, being 50 yards away from something the size of a plane iyswim? Just trying to get an idea of scale.

Did you look into if anyone else had seen it?

StillMedusa · 28/02/2016 02:17

my Dad died suddenly 31st Jan 2015.. he was ill but not very ill, and hs heart failure was a complete surprise.

A month later my brother woke up..sobbing... after a dream in which he met my dad, who didn't know he was dead and was just chatting to him. DB was very very upset.

But 6 months later I woke up from the clearest weirdest dream. I was in my Dad's pub ( 100 miles from where I live) and he was suddenly there at the bar, chatting to someone. He was pleased to see me and suggested we went and sat outside. It was SO bright....blue sky, green grass and we sat on the grass. I was totally aware that Dad was dead and asked him how this was possible.. he laughed and said he didn't know but it was lovely to see me. i watched him plonk himself down onto the bright green grass and noticed that he COULD... he had severe arthritis and hadn't been able to move like that for years... and he looked like he was in his late 40s... not 69.I was totally aware that this was nuts and asked if I could take a photo on my phone.. he laughed and said 'go for it but I'm not sure if it will work being as I'm dead and all'.

I can't remember what we talked about, but he was WELL again, fit and healthy and happy.

I rarely dream and never in colour and I am totally convinced that my Dad was letting me know that he is ok now. It was SO clear and SO bright and real than I am sure he was letting me know that he is ok now!

ChristmasZombie · 09/02/2016 08:58

I have a weird pregnancy one.
I'm a primary school teacher and when I became pregnant with DD1 I had a little girl in my class who was somewhat... unusual. Lovely girl, but just a bit different to the others. I'd found out I was pregnant a few days earlier and told no-one but DH. At hometime the unusual little girl put her arms around my waist and rested her head against my stomach. She had never hugged anyone before or since (she doesn't like touching). She looked up at me with a big smile and said "I can hear your baby!"

BumgrapesofWrath · 01/01/2016 11:23

Grin So I did!

I am obviously so proud of my story I've had to post it twice!

BathshebaDarkstone · 01/01/2016 09:16

cathpip the story about your mum and daughter is both sad and lovely. Flowers

regisitme · 01/01/2016 08:46

My Dad died unexpectedly this year. I live in Australia and had to fly back to the UK for the funeral. I work in IT and a couple of months after I got back to Australia I saw an odd icon on my work PC desktop. It was a scanned picture of a child's drawing, of a parent holding hands with a small child and it was timed and dated of the moment Dad died.

I am not woo at all but it freaked me out a bit - it would have needed somebody to scan the painting at work, accidentally send it to my email and then for me to drag it from my email to my desktop, which I didn't do.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 01/01/2016 08:18

Bum - you posted it in here! Page 11 Xmas Grin

allegretto · 01/01/2016 07:47

My story is both unbelievable AND boring. I was once reading a book on my bed and switched on Radio 4. It was "Book of the week" and they were reading out the same book I was - and were on the same page I was on.

Fannycraddock79 · 01/01/2016 07:39

Agreed it is pretty interesting Grin, not in the Midlands though no

BumgrapesofWrath · 01/01/2016 02:06

Well it is probably the most interesting story about me so I have probably posted it before.

You aren't in the Midlands are you...

Fannycraddock79 · 31/12/2015 20:51

Bum I've heard that story before so I either know you or I've read it on here before-have you put it on my previously?

BumgrapesofWrath · 31/12/2015 18:56

A story that no-one seems to believe but is utterly true-

I once sat on a metal coat hanger and the curly bit went right up my bum, and I ran around in a panic until my mum removed it for me. No-one believes me that the curly bit could go right up there, but it did.

I had my divorce costs (totalling just over £33k including solicitors fees) paid off by somebody I only know through the Internet after I made a post about the stress it was putting me under.

The same person also sent me an expensive gift from Harrods when I remarried 4 years later and has also paid for mini breaks in 5 star hotels for myself and new hubby on 4 occasions since we got married.

I have still never met the person, we just email.

busyboysmum · 28/12/2015 22:55

I was a skint student out for a pint with my then boyfriend and we had £1 left. He wanted me to give it him for a video game which he'd already had a go on so I said no and popped it in a fruit machine I was passing. I have never been on a fruitie before or since so I have no idea how to play them. Anyway it went jackpot jackpot jackpot and money started pouring out! We had enough money to go for a meal in a restaurant and get a taxi home!

weeonion · 21/11/2015 23:43

I grew up in northern Ireland in the height of "the troubles"

My dads best friend was in the security forces, we were always round at his house and I was flower girl at his wedding.

My mother didn't drive and wanted to head to nearest bigger town one Saturday to get school shoes for my brother and I. My dad was at work. As we were about to leave to catch bus - this guy popped in for a cuppa and chat, which he often did at weekends. He offered to drive us and as was the norm in those days, checked under the car for bombs. All clear.

We went shopping, got our stuff and all headed to car park. I tripped up and fell, grazing my knees and was howling. This guy went ahead to get the car and bring it over.

I remember watching him approach it and saying to my mum, "its gonna blow up". She was looking at me funny when this huge "wave" lifted us off our feet and flung us backwards, followed by the boom. His car exploded when he opened the door and got in.

I don't know why or how I knew, but I just did. My clumsiness probably saved my brother, my mum and me.

gBean · 21/11/2015 00:23

As a child, our family moved into a new home. My room was always freezing cold even in summer. Mum would hear me cry in the night and go into my room, to find me sound asleep. She mentioned it to a neighbour after this went on for weeks and the neighbour said that the family who lived there before us has a baby who died in my room Sad.

FattyFishwife · 21/11/2015 00:14

not particularly woo, compared to some of these stories but.... (trigger warning for anyone who has had a loved one pass from cancer)

(bit of a back story)

in july this year my nan was poorly with vomiting and a sore back...the gp diagnosed a tummy bug and osteoporosis pain. forward a few weeks and shes still the same and losing weight, so my Dmum asked for her to be sent for tests. she was then found to have a huge liver tumour.

a couple of days later, she was transferred to hospital as she was losing too much weight, and it was found that the tumour was inoperable.

The consultant explained to her that she wasnt going to get better, and asked her if she had any questions or thoughts on the matter.

She said I cant....i WONT, go before i have seen everyone...all my children, grand children and great grand children....at this point the consultant said that she had maybe 4 weeks left, so we put wheels in motion to get the entire family to visit (no mean feat as there are 3 children, 8 grand children, 21 great grand children and 2 great great grand children who all live across the north and north west of england and north wales.

the next day we found out that she had less than 2 weeks to live, so it was probably going to be impossible for everyone to be able to get to her house to see her before she passed. (she asked to be sent home so she could pass at home.

anyways, over the next few days, family managed to get there in dribs and drabs, making long journeys to sit and hold her hand for a while, or chat to her....she was in and out of consciousness.

exactly 5 days after coming home, (and just 2 weeks after her MRI scan and diagnoisis of liver cancer) there was one remaining great grand child who hadnt managed to get to see her. She managed to get a half day from work, and her dad brought her all the way to nans, although at this stage, nan was no longer conscious at all)

She walked up to nan, and held her hand and said 'im here grandma, i love you.....nan, from having been unconscious for a day or two, murmured. I love you too....then she made a big sigh and passed.

We said afterwards that she must have somehow been mentally checking off the family members in her head, and knew that one was missing, and the minute she had 'seen' the last family member as per her wishes, she finally let go and went to join my gramps.

She was a stubborn old bird my nan, and I dont think, as ill as she was, that she was off to be with my gramps until she had seen every last one of her family!

Pressed post too soon!

Lots of dreams about pets long gone. One where dog 2 was running around and so happy to see her mother (who had died months before). Only dog2 and i could see dog 1. Have also woken up to feel the weight of my old cat on my legs. I know if i open my eyes, she won't be there.

I also dreamed Princess Diana died. Woke up and put tv on to confirm.

Finally! Did an emergency stop and narrowly avoided a pedestrian. He sprawled over the bonnet of my car. He stood up and waved thanks to me. It was Robert Plant.

Frith2013 · 19/11/2015 22:42

I woke up at 6.30am and about 3am knowing I had just become pregnant with my sons. I had a premonition during pregnancy with son2 of two similar looking boys walking through a doorway and then realised they would be my sons...
