I have two. I told a friend totally out of the blue that Michael Jackson would be dead six weeks from now, he was. I pointed at the screen and told a friend whilst watching Loose Women that Linda Bellingham would die soon of cancer.
I dunno why i felt compelled to say those things but i felt i needed to.

No criticising, hairsplitting or arguing pleae.

Be brave and tell. :)

MrsCurrent my DD (also 2) told me there was a baby in my tummy too! I didn't get a BFP until a week later.

About a month ago we were talking about my friend, S, and DD said 'S got a baby in her tummy too.' S called me last week and she is pregnant! Shock Smile

Thinking of hiring her out to Clearblue for research... Wink

When I was a teenager I had this white pair of 'pumps' and when they were laced up tightly I could see the face of Faye Dunnaway.

Only on the right shoe though. The left one just looked liked a laced up shoe Hmm.

I used to try and point it out to random strangers to see if they could see it too but they were just Confused

I didn't have many friends Grin

LoafersOrLouboutins · 20/11/2014 18:02

Yoghurtget that's AMAZING!

FastWindow · 20/11/2014 17:54

I had my one and only panic attack on the morning of 7/7. Couldn't breathe.

Not quite as unbelievable as some, this, but I was walking back into the house from the car with my fairly newborn in my arms. I stopped walking for no reason. There was nothing in my way, I had heard and seen nothing to make me stop. At that exact moment, a magpie dropped a huge poo exactly where my newborn' face would have been had I just continued walking at the same pace. Thankyou, whoever is up there.

Welliesandpyjamas · 20/11/2014 17:26

catthiefkeith were your parents trying to avoid taking you swimming Grin or did you actually see the dolphin show?

greenapples · 20/11/2014 17:19

We moved to an area (due to DH job) where I had previously been on a summer holiday with my parents less than 10 years before.
On the family holiday, we did the well know touristy locations and on coming out from one such place I declared to my family, 'I'm going to live in that house'. (Big tumbled down neglected looking house) Cue great laughter and banter from sis and parents and told 'you can't live here without a housing licence'. Bla bla bla.
A few years later, DH got a job and accomodation was found for us. We had not seen where we were living until we met the estate agent off the ferry - who took us directly there. Large house I'd seen previously was still there but turned into flats... One of which we were to rent (and still do).

Thumbwitch · 20/11/2014 17:08

This thread is great - took me ages to read through it all but worth it! I've asked for it to be put in Classics (not sure if it will though)

MrsCosmopilite · 20/11/2014 16:53

Thanks wow - I used to have migraines but not since having surgery for something unrelated. DH could smell it too at the same time, so likelihood of us both being about to have a stroke is low :)
However, as in post upthread, since I asked politely for there to be no smoking in the house, we've not had the smell. We have since had firework displays and bonfires locally, and not been able to smell either indoors, so it's not an outside smell permeating.

Yoghurtget · 20/11/2014 16:46

I was 38 weeks pregnant ( first baby) and about to have bath, as I looked into the bubbles I saw the Virgin Mary and had a very warm feeling all over. I had the bath and as I got out my waters broke. I didn't tell anyone as it's a bit like the Jesus on the toast story a while back. I eventually told my husband a few months later but I don't think I could ever tell anyone else in RL.

LoafersOrLouboutins · 20/11/2014 16:45

MrsCurrent Its so frustrating when you want to tell people these stories but know they would either think you're a liar or absolutely nuts! Does your DS say these things regularly? I would love to tell my ex-boyfriend's DM and DF that I saw him that night but they wouldn't believe me.

MrsCurrent · 20/11/2014 16:31

I always feel people won't believe me but ds1 started telling people mummy has a baby in her tummy around the time ds2 was conceived, and no, as a 2 year old he definitely didn't know what we had been up to!

A few months later my dm, ds and I visited db's flat in a v old house, there was a cold patch where the bottom of the original stairs would've come into the flat by db's room. Dm and I had previously found it eerie. Heard ds chatting away down there while we were in the lounge then he came in to tell us about the little boy in uncle x's house!

Catthiefkeith · 20/11/2014 16:20

Just remembered another. Back in the 1970's our local swimming closed for a whole week because they had a dolphin show there each night.

I was only 4/5 ish but I distinctly remember it and my parents have confirmed it did happen, but nobody has ever believed me, and I have been unable to find anything about it online ever

Wowthishurtsalot · 20/11/2014 15:45

Smelling smoke is a sign of a stroke/aneurysm/migraine you may want to get that checked out

LoafersOrLouboutins · 20/11/2014 14:57

I knew my ex-boyfriend would die. I knew he would crash his car in a nearby village which was flooded. I told his friend to tell him not to drive through said village, his friend said to me 'How did you know he was here?'. I just KNEW he was visiting his friend. I woke up at 4:32 that night (the same he died) and he walked into my room. My now dead ex-boyfriend was sitting on my bed and just gave me a hug then left. His mum called me later that morning. Nobody believes me that he came into my room nor that I knew it would happen.

ihatethecold · 20/11/2014 14:33

I would love to be able to see auras.
Must be amazing.

elfycat · 20/11/2014 11:42

A Dcat1 was mortally wounded when I came home from shopping. We raced her off to the vet but after an exploratory operation she was PTS without waking. I knew she was going to die as she 'looked' wrong.

I was taking a course in a slightly more woo than some complementary therapy so I was probably seeing auras a bit (I can do it better now).

A week later I was lying in bed and I could hear her purring right next to my ear. If was her and not her still living sister as Dcat1 sounded like a cement mixer. I knew if I opened my eyes there would be no-one there so I said my goodbyes.

Years later Dcat2 was looking 'wrong' to me so I took her to the vet. She had a good set of testing done, with optional extras but nothing was found to be wrong. Under 2 months later she was PTS with a huge abdominal growth. The vet was amazed as hadn't shown any markers to suggest anything was wrong but my intuition had been spot on.

I also saw a colleague a long way down a hospital corridor and knew something dreadful had happened to him. Again I could see something wrong with his aura (literally I saw him under a dark cloud). I commented to another colleague who told me his house had burned to the ground the day before (thankfully no-one was hurt).

MrsCosmopilite · 20/11/2014 11:40

Oh, and last night, I was reading a book in bed, when there was suddenly a lovely smell of freshly-peeled orange. Checked the book but no smell coming from the book. We don't have any oranges at the moment.

MrsCosmopilite · 20/11/2014 11:35

A very minor thing.

We moved about 6 months ago. The previous owners were moving out of the area, and had bought from the original owners, who'd lived here since it was built. All are still living.

The house is really welcoming. A few odd things though. For a period of three weeks, I kept finding toenail clippings (gross) on the upstairs landing. There is no reason for any to be there, and they were definitely not mine, nor DP's. Far too big to be DD's. One day, removing one, I muttered something about it not being very nice, and there have been no more.

A few weeks ago, I kept getting the smell of cigarette smoke in the lounge. We don't smoke, there were no bonfires, and our neighbours don't smoke either. For a good few evenings, I'd get this smell wafting under my nose. Told DP and he went around the house sniffing, but couldn't locate anything. He suggested it might be a smoky smell on one of the hallway walls, but as the previous occupants were non-smokers too, and had redecorated when they moved in, we couldn't explain it.
It happened about a fortnight ago when I was home alone. I said out loud that we didn't smoke, and didn't like the smell. If anyone wanted to smoke could they please do so out in the garden. No smoke smell since.

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 20/11/2014 11:11

Oh I have another one - when my sister was about to have her first baby in Oz, I had an incredibly restless night, dreaming about her (despite not having done so previously), & almost being there/linked with her IYSWIM. I woke up around 4am, just knowing there would be a text from my mum to say she'd had the baby, and she'd had a hard time having him. Lo and behold, there was, & she had! Strangely enough it didn't happen when she had his brother, but that was an ELCS.

tiredvommachine · 20/11/2014 11:06

Love this thread!

Welliesandpyjamas · 20/11/2014 11:03

Hmm maybe this thread is woo or maybe making the readers more conscious of unusual happenings...but a couple of nights ago (after a couple of days of enjoying quick visits to this thread) we had just turned the lights off to go to sleep and heard the sound of DS1's feet landing on his bedroom floor and some footsteps, as if going to the bathroom...but then he didn't come out of his room and the steps stopped. We waited then DH went to check on him but he found DS1 so deeply asleep in his bed that he couldn't possibly have moved. Then when we tried settling down again for the night, the tv switched on by itself Shock, and neither of us were anywhere near the remote. Confused

CrimboHornedSnowflake · 20/11/2014 10:54

This happened very recently. I woke in the night to go to the loo and as I was using it I noticed drops forming on my PJ top. I put my hand to my fave and realised I was crying, proper big fat tears and I didn't know why. When I woke in the morning I was overcome with a feeling of intense sadness.

10 minutes later my Mum phoned to say my Grandad had died unexpectedly in the night. At the same time I went to the toilet.

It freaked me out as it had never happened with previous relatives who have died.

Germgirl · 20/11/2014 10:37

Sorry DirtyOldTown it was years ago, and I've googled several times since to see if anyone else has ever reported a similar thing & no one has.
But it was bloody scary at the time, I was fully prepared to believe I'd been seeing things & then he said that!

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 20/11/2014 10:33

My Nanna, & Great Aunt, both of whom I loved dearly died in 2010, within 5 months of each other. In December of that year I fell pregnant (unplanned) with our DTDs. All through the pregnancy I felt such a strong sense of this was 'meant to be'...probably hormones, but there you go Grin

DirtyOldTown · 20/11/2014 10:24

Germgirl. Thanks for sharing, that's me not sleeping tonight. Cheers.
(Makes mental note to never, ever go anywhere near Bishop Stortford).
