AIBU to think that comprehension just isn't a strong point with some people.

I've noticed this quite a lot over the time I have on MN.

Referring to a recent thread re early retirement. The poster quite clearly stated that DH wanted to retire in 14 months (when mortgage paid) and wanted her to retire at the same time. She is 10 years his junior and works part time.

OK, first answer was "So he wants you both to retire in early forties"

Second response "Can you change to part time work"

I can understand this if we were 10 pages into the thread because we don't all have time to read all responses, but come on, the first two responses?

Just rub it with a bit of neat tea-tree oil. It'll come up lovely.

Delphiniumsblue · 30/09/2014 20:23

Your DH sounds a bit self entitled TBH.

DuelingFanjo · 30/09/2014 20:21

When you have a second child you won't care.

Shockers · 30/09/2014 20:18

I came home one day to find recently retired DH curled up in the dog basket with our Cocker. Both of them were dressed in M&S bras with matching panties that hadn't come from my drawers.....

I'm wearing grey skinnies, a long white layering vest, a long navy cardigan, black biker boots, a navy and white scarf and my usual diamond studs.

I'm just putting the bin out.

punygod · 30/09/2014 20:14

Have you tried adding a pretty scarf?

punygod · 30/09/2014 20:12

My 8 year old can cook a decent roast, with homemade gravy and yorkies.

My 6 year old is currently doing the ironing, while 18mth old DD is giving my DGM a bed bath.

It's called a family, OP. We all have to pull together.

FreeWee · 30/09/2014 20:11

But were they parked on someone else's driveway? Or in a parent and child space? Or in a blue badge spot? Or was their pram taking up space on the bus???

Elemental · 30/09/2014 20:10

What about Ottillie?

noblegiraffe · 30/09/2014 20:07

Xenophobia was top of my girl's list, but we had a boy. Go for it!!

beachyhead · 30/09/2014 20:07

Take everything out of her room and then take the door off the hinges... She has to earn her stuff back.

punygod · 30/09/2014 20:05

I think it's just that I have a bitchy resting face.

Elemental · 30/09/2014 19:55

My 18 month old has never eaten sugar. I just don't understand why you'd give it to a child. His favourite snack is a mooncup of hummus.

Elemental · 30/09/2014 19:52

I remember you from your other threads OP, weren't you the one with the yoni-massaging husband?

punygod · 30/09/2014 19:50

I'd key her car, punch her in the face and wee on her mum. But then, I'm a stroppy mare

Elemental · 30/09/2014 19:50

Is £5 a fair amount to charge for a cake pop?

punygod · 30/09/2014 19:49

Raisins? You might as well give then lumps of crack.

Elemental · 30/09/2014 19:48

Fruit is just sugar and water, you know, so don't delude yourself into thinking you've given your dc a healthy snack.

punygod · 30/09/2014 19:47

I had lots of fun in my youth
complete slapper

Elemental · 30/09/2014 19:44

When I was younger I was absolutely stunning, not to boast. I only get one wolf whistle a day now Sad

Comito · 30/09/2014 19:38

Hasn't anyone told you that 'no' is a complete sentence?

Nessalina · 30/09/2014 19:36

You sound lovely OP Smile

Go ahead - retire & enjoy yourself!

Archfarchnad · 30/09/2014 19:33

I haven't actually read the whole thread because in all honesty I can't be arsed, but actually it's more important that I get my opinion heard at this point.

In fact, I didn't really read the OP either, hope you don't mind, OP! I have more important things to do.

Occurs to me now that I didn't actually read the title either, erm, what's it about?

punygod · 30/09/2014 19:25

Have you tried the 30 day shred?

phonebox · 30/09/2014 19:24

There's no such thing as the working-class anymore, OP Hmm
