AIBU to think that comprehension just isn't a strong point with some people.

I've noticed this quite a lot over the time I have on MN.

Referring to a recent thread re early retirement. The poster quite clearly stated that DH wanted to retire in 14 months (when mortgage paid) and wanted her to retire at the same time. She is 10 years his junior and works part time.

OK, first answer was "So he wants you both to retire in early forties"

Second response "Can you change to part time work"

I can understand this if we were 10 pages into the thread because we don't all have time to read all responses, but come on, the first two responses?

You can pre-prepare the samphire and bulgar wheat the night before, then just steam a small portion of John Dory while you're making breakfast and pop it all in a wrap. It's ridiculously quick and very easy for little hands to hold. Don't make packed lunches any more complicated than you have to!

Delphiniumsblue · 29/09/2014 17:34

Getting the popcorn out and settling down......................

Shockers · 29/09/2014 17:21

Spruce it up with a coat of Farrow & Ball Elephant's Penis. It's dark enough to cover the felt tip.

Eastpoint · 29/09/2014 17:14

But I always wash towels everyday.

I only change my sheets once a year.

Downamongtherednecks · 29/09/2014 17:08

Well, I met one Muslim once and HE ate bacon might have been beef

crossandcrosser · 29/09/2014 17:08

You wouldn't be in this mess if your bridesmaid hadn't stolen the brooch bouquet and hair clip. Again.

ExitPursuedByAKoalaBear · 29/09/2014 16:59

But the problem with grammar schools is ......

LookingThroughTheFog · 29/09/2014 16:53

But really, OP, how would you feel if you were the poor little girl you'd met one time, who wasn't at your Christmas Party not watching everyone else open their Smarties? You're very mean to neglect the child who wasn't there and probably doesn't even know you exist. You should have taken a different present from under the tree and dropped it in the place she wasn't standing in to include her.

JessieMcJessie · 29/09/2014 16:49

OP, did you not consider that they might have a HIDDEN disability?

Nanny0gg · 29/09/2014 16:46

Sorry OP, you've been Wendied.

Mmmnotsure · 29/09/2014 16:30

Whoopsadazy · 29/09/2014 16:28

Poor form OP.
