I've noticed this quite a lot over the time I have on MN.

Referring to a recent thread re early retirement. The poster quite clearly stated that DH wanted to retire in 14 months (when mortgage paid) and wanted her to retire at the same time. She is 10 years his junior and works part time.

OK, first answer was "So he wants you both to retire in early forties"

Second response "Can you change to part time work"

I can understand this if we were 10 pages into the thread because we don't all have time to read all responses, but come on, the first two responses?

Serves you right. Toilet brushes are revolting, next time, just get your hand down there with a disposable cloth.

aliasjoey · 29/09/2014 22:08

It's the Daily Fail, that automatically means YABU. And you posted a link! My god, anyone could have clicked on that by mistake!

Nanny0gg · 29/09/2014 22:04

It's have not of

Got that?

Gruntfuttock · 29/09/2014 22:00

Passive aggressive much? Hmm

Didactylos · 29/09/2014 21:59

Boxroom!

Shodan · 29/09/2014 21:54

I haven't RTFT, so don't know if you've apologised gracefully and admitted YWBU, but am going to pile in and rant at you anyway.

What's more, I will continue to do so even after every other poster has told me the situation.

Gruntfuttock · 29/09/2014 21:52

Is anyone else who is very old expecting this person to turn up any minute?

Let him make his own packed lunch. You are his wife not his mother.

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 29/09/2014 21:42

It's all very well you saying your landlord should provide you with windows OP, but what if one of your DC fell through the glass and severed an artery? Have you thought of that? Really, you are quite irresponsible and ungrateful, OP. Your landlord is only thinking of the safety of your DC, unlike you.

Shockers · 29/09/2014 21:39

And I have brown leather sofas.

Downamongtherednecks · 29/09/2014 21:38

You shouldn't expect your cleaner to empty the waste-paper bins, and you shouldn't allow your dc to put tissues in them. How dare you expect her to deal with your body-fluids!

(This was actually said to me on AIBU)

Gruntfuttock · 29/09/2014 21:37

"How dare you come on here rubbing it in my face!"

Ewww! I hate it when that happens.

Wickeddevil · 29/09/2014 21:37

No no flinging. Lemon drizzle. Gavel.

-might consider cornflake cakes if made with cocoa pops-

Simplesusan · 29/09/2014 21:36

You are so lucky to have a dh.

I don't have one and can never have one.

Also I don't have a mother, father, sister, brother, best friend, aunt, uncle or even a neighbour.

How dare you come on here rubbing it in my face!

Shockers · 29/09/2014 21:29

All my bookcases are upstairs.

flingingmelon · 29/09/2014 21:29

Of course chocolate cornflake cakes are best, but surely if they just want to raise money it'd be smarter just to hand over the cash you'd spend on ingredients?

kelper · 29/09/2014 21:17

Dear me, won't anyone think of the children? wrings hands

Gruntfuttock · 29/09/2014 21:14

Well, quite frankly I wouldn't give instant coffee house room! Even the lowliest of tradespeople is given freshly-brewed coffee from my top-of-the-range Gaggia (RRP £970). Mind you, they don't get it in my best china - that's a step too far.

LookingThroughTheFog Oh God, the Christmas smarties thread!!

Worst case of RTFT ever.

Sparklingbrook · 29/09/2014 21:08

Artisan courgette bread and some Quinoa.

Shockers · 29/09/2014 20:59

Go above the class teacher. If she's under 30 with no children, she's not qualified to set your child's reading level.

Go to the head and the board of governors... it's what they're there for.

Good luck and (((hugs)))

Gruntfuttock · 29/09/2014 20:55

Still fumming. You lot will be really sorry when I tell Sharon of you.

APotNoodleandaTommy · 29/09/2014 20:54

You need to call 101 and report, OP

Gruntfuttock · 29/09/2014 20:53

The answers would be completely different if the genders were reversed! Typical MN Angry So misandrist.
