AIBU to think that comprehension just isn't a strong point with some people.

I've noticed this quite a lot over the time I have on MN.

Referring to a recent thread re early retirement. The poster quite clearly stated that DH wanted to retire in 14 months (when mortgage paid) and wanted her to retire at the same time. She is 10 years his junior and works part time.

OK, first answer was "So he wants you both to retire in early forties"

Second response "Can you change to part time work"

I can understand this if we were 10 pages into the thread because we don't all have time to read all responses, but come on, the first two responses?

Actually OP you come across as a misogynist. Your OP sets feminism back a hundred years! stop enabling this poor excuse for a man. Why is the DW working part-time ?Shock, she needs to grow some and triple her hours. You in the meantime should read up on gender theories by there, then come back and continue this conversation with us.

flippinada · 23/11/2014 16:52

You're saying you both need to work to pay the mortgage/bills/put food on the table, but if you really cared about your DCs education you would find a way to home educate.

flippinada · 23/11/2014 16:46

Well, I think the OP sounds selfish. We all know what the answer would be if OP was a man. Double standards, much Hmm ?

Gunznroses · 23/11/2014 16:18

Well OP frankly I'm quite shocked at your attitude!, The man obviously has 'mental health' issues and his Dw is terribly selfish not to think of that. She should pack up her job right now and concentrate or helping him get better.
The poor man has suffered enough already. Hmm

flippinada · 23/11/2014 15:54

I agree with

flippinada · 23/11/2014 15:47

I never believed this myself but it's an actual true fact, teenage boys will die if they don't eat their own body weight in red meat every single day.

flippinada · 23/11/2014 15:43

I know you said your OH hit you over the head with a meat tenderiser and you're sinking in and out of consciousness but frankly, I'd like to hear his side of the story Hmm.

burgundytartan · 23/11/2014 14:45

I've just had one of these.

Started a thread about a colleague making jokes about my hoody (it is accepted work wear) and wibu to have snapped at her.

Answer - yes I can't believe you spoke to a client like that and no wonder your colleague picked you up on it.

Er ... Confused

OodneedsanOod · 17/10/2014 16:10

Have you tried Netmums?

Shockers · 16/10/2014 23:07

Camping at this time of year will be grim, especially with a 3 week old.

Try a yurt or tipi with a wood burner. Costs more than a regular pitch, but oh boy, you'll be glad you did!

Good luck getting the Kelly kettle lit!

use Vaseline on cotton wool

LittleHornbill · 16/10/2014 16:26

Well quite frankly OP, it is people like you who are the problem with society today.

I have never, and will never, watch any of those pitiful TV shows. Only the morally corrupt and uneducated would stoop so low. Besides, they are utterly mind numbing and awful, I know this because I have never watched them!

Hmm
OodneedsanOod · 14/10/2014 20:12

SPOILER ALERT

A tv programme was on last week and something happened.

puntasticusername · 14/10/2014 19:57

Green poo is PERFECTLY NORMAL.

Shockers · 09/10/2014 16:48

Is it runny or firm?

puntasticusername · 09/10/2014 13:31

I think you need to write them a letter explaining how you feel.

Jill2015 · 09/10/2014 13:31

I just spat my coffee onto the keyboard, OP, while simultaneously snorting wine out through my nose...*

(*Please note I would not waste wine like this Grin... I don't believe it for a minute when people post that they spat coffee etc).

TondelayoSchwarzkopf · 09/10/2014 10:17

Have YOU got kids OP?

Well don't judge until you have.

andsmile · 08/10/2014 10:14

But you must save it for them and give back when they leave and of course specify how they spend it
