The Weather on TV will be a LOT shorter.

We will only have to wait 5 minutes for the weather girl to get round to us, instead of the usual 15 minutes, while they go all round the houses Scotland etc. Grin

Brilliant Ididnt

FrankelandFilly · 18/09/2014 14:40

There have been tales of lone shepherds being carried off the hills by rabid Haggi, never to be heard of again.

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 14:40

Oooh no more bagpipes!

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 14:39

Just make sure it's the Salmon that works its way down and not the Salmond

wanttosinglikemarycoughlan · 18/09/2014 14:39

Not relevant but my Dad had me convinced for years that a haggis was a small round animal with short legs

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 14:39

Right, all those in the north, if you suddenly see legs of venison appearing to self mobilise please warn us southerners so we can fire our ranges and get dinner cooked!

TunipTheUnconquerable · 18/09/2014 14:39

Never mind the haggi, maybe all the smoked salmons will swim down here too!

FrankelandFilly · 18/09/2014 14:39

Ah, didn't you know TSSDCOP, Haggi are like ants in that they can lift 100 times their own body weight Wink

wanttosinglikemarycoughlan · 18/09/2014 14:38

Can we get rid of those freaky kids programmes. I am looking at you granny Murray ( who is really Nicola Sturgeon, mental block is that her name. Or there is only 1 hairstyle in the whole of Scotland and its a bad one)
And Balamory
I went to Dundee a few years ago and saw a woman with a fab haircut. I was less impressed when I had seen at least 20 more of every age with the same colour and cut Grin

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 14:37

A haggis comes a wandering
Down all thru the moors
A tartan bag a venison bap
a raspberry tart to eat

For when the brave Haggis
Heard the vote went 'yay'
He packed his bag, and took his kids
And came down England Way

hugoagogo · 18/09/2014 14:37

Argh it' s whisky! Not whiskey you numnuts Grin

CogitoErgoSometimes · 18/09/2014 14:37

BIG construction contracts to rebuild that old wall the Romans started... think 'higher'.... think 'more gun turrets'....

onelastfling · 18/09/2014 14:37

No more Balamory or that other annoying one with the childminder and the fruit and veg stall guy (what is that called?) ruining Cbeebies

Thanks marjo,
now I have the Balamory theme tune running round in my head Shock

The Irish like whiskey and the Scots like whisky.

(I have got that the right way round, haven't I? suddenly nervous)

TSSDNCOP · 18/09/2014 14:36

The haggis could traffic punnet strapped to their backs! Although half a hind of venison might need a team of them in the manner of Santas Reindeer.

And again, it's not like a raspberry doesn't grow equally well south of Durham.

They'll probably be better when our rainfall improves Grin

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 14:36

Can make it into a folk song couldn't you

Here come the Haggi
Wi' a sporran on there backs
All filled with whiskey and venison
and a tartan knapsack

Oooohh here come the Haggi
All marching proud and fair
Escaping Salmonds tyrrany
And leaving scotland there

ouryve · 18/09/2014 14:35

We'll be able to go on a foreign holiday for the sake of less than a two hour drive!

numptieseverywhere · 18/09/2014 14:34

no more Labour governments!

FrankelandFilly · 18/09/2014 14:34
TSSDNCOP · 18/09/2014 14:34

Yes but the Irish make bucket loads of their own --which is just as well because iScotland will be trading all of theirs on the international markets Grin

Ididntseeitsoitdidnthappen · 18/09/2014 14:32

I don't but it's a good excuse for a drink

Think of the lost revenue from the raspberry and venison trade...reckon there'll be illegal smuggling across the border?

AuntieStella · 18/09/2014 14:32

"And really, who actually likes Whiskey anyway?"

The Irish

DealForTheKids · 18/09/2014 14:31

Ooh I didn't think about Gretna! Surely they'll be buggered as getting married abroad needs more warning and paperwork?

TSSDNCOP · 18/09/2014 14:31

We can stop being called rUK.

We aren't rUK, we are the bloody UK.

And really, who actually likes Whiskey anyway?
