I was eating in the the dark and didn't notice until it was too late.

What on earth is inside my pear?

Update.

I came home from swimming with dd2 and its gone!! Dd1 swears she didn't touch it I believe her, it was rank and there is no one else here. Shock

It's too dark to rake around in the bins. Where the Jeff is it and how did it get there?? Omfg

I cracked open a pistachio nut once to find half a nut (which I ate) and the other bit was full of little tiny maggot type things, I'd eaten half
A bag too while watching a film so god knows how many bad ones I ate!

I'm waiting till after dinner before I click on that link, (assuming the hordes of Zombie Baby Pear Mice haven't made their way to the Central Belt and got me by then). And I've binned the fruit-bowl-full of pears I had in my kitchen.

So where do I stand with regard to chucking pears in my juicer? I'm on jason vales plan and I don't bother peeling/chopping fruit.... I just sling them in whole

It's bad enough that it's pear and parsnip juice

Have you checked that all of the other pears are safe?

I agree on the pear midge thing. I looked up common pear parasites and this one is very close in appearance. Usually the fruitlets turn black and fall off, this looks like the pear has continued to grow, either that or it was a twin pear the grew around the infected fruitlet.

My friend mentioned the squidgy banana with spider infestation in it that was on here before. So from now on, I will chop everything up before I eat it.

XDH used to work in a fruit & veg shop.
He has confirmed the earlier greengrocer's diagnosis, it is indeed a "what the fuck is that?".

I was eating in the dark because it was the crack of dawn and I was starving. 5.2 fast day yesterday.

It was definitely a pear I think it was in with all the other non mutant pears.

I think they meant, 'that's a shame you don't want more tasty pears' rather than 'omfg, that's a shame to got the one with the zombie invasion' Grin

I will be searching the delivery chap at the front door tomorrow in cause he tries to slip me another one!

Is it wrong that I want to click on Thumbs link after seeing how horrified everyone else is by it?

I am not clicking on that link, I have two pears in my fruit bowl waiting to be eaten and I don't want to be put off them...well any more than this thread already has Grin
