Not the tongue I mean! The pear! :o

WowserBowser · 04/02/2014 10:05

You could leave the pear in a dark room for a while and see if it has moved when you go back in?

WowserBowser · 04/02/2014 10:04

Yy! Cut your tongue open - just in case!

Tortoise · 04/02/2014 10:03

I have no idea what it is but
'Baby pear mice do NOT like being squeezed!' made me lol!
And I've now been put off bottled milkshake. 'Mound of mould'

zombiesheep · 04/02/2014 10:03

Cut it open!!!

Hahaaaaaaa you guys. This is cheering up a dreary day. Still can't face my crumpets though.

santasballsackisnolonger · 04/02/2014 10:00

What on earth possessed you? Now you must dissect it thoroughly!

[cue old countryman drawl] - that be a nest of some sort.

[have no real idea, but oh dear LORD!!!]

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:57

Santa see that's not true about maccy d's. A few miles away from us, there was a court case because one of the male members of staff had added his own special sauce to the mayonnaise. It got shut down fairly soon afterwards.

Soon there will be nothing I feel safe eating.

In other news, the fruit and veg delivery company haven't emailed me back. I wonder how they liked the photo. Grin

I've done this with a nectarine. I think the stone had rotted and it spreads outwards. Do pears have stones? I don't eat them because of that mingy grainy texture.

I am suspicious of all fruit with hidden middles. They look all "hey look at me I'm a bit of healthy fruit" on the outside and randomly filled with unspeakable horrors within.

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:53

Ok, it's out the bin. Boak Envy

This is a closer picture for those who want it. No attempts to do anything else yet or ever

Can you see all the wee holes? That's not good is it? Who mentioned holes and creepy crawlies? Arghhhh!

This is like a Sporn Post but with a whole new level

santasballsackisnolonger · 04/02/2014 09:49

I ended up having toast instead. You know where you are with toast. Nothing can jump out at you.

I used to work in a hotel. They would get stale buns from the local baker to make bread and butter pudding with. One night after service I'd gone into the kitchen and was stuffing my face from the half empty pudding tray. One of the raisins seemed a bit gritty/crunchy. I put the light on ... had a closer look at what was left in my hand ... half a beetle.

Just sayin' Wink

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/02/2014 09:47

It doesn't look like the inside of the pear is rotting- if you look close up, it's a seperate entity (or something)

It looks like an avocado stone but pears don't have those sort of stones.

Avocado/pear hybrid that didn't work out?
But there are tiny holes in the manky bit (for any of you that have that phobia thingie)

HairyPotter · 04/02/2014 09:46

I can honestly say that DH and the dds will not go anywhere near it. I didn't mention it to them either. They would still be screaming. Grin

If you live near me in Cheshire I'll be round in a flash. I'm wearing my dressing gown though.

nippysweetie82 · 04/02/2014 09:44

A moth cocoon? I cut into a sweet pepper once and a huge moth flew out of it. That put me off peppers for a while!
