I used to think that I was a good writer. But, since joining MN, I have to face the sad realisation that this is untrue. If I comment on a thread, it dies, and if I start a thread, no one answers! I give up. I know I am a good reader, I will stick to that from now on....

Thanks roomie, yeah she lived to a ripe old old age, bless her. Knew it was coming soon, so not a sock, but still sad.

Anyway. . .

zing dunno if it was intentional but my man loved bunting (think old style street parties) - so very apt! Grin

KittensoftPuppydog · 05/06/2013 21:22

Roomfor1more · 05/06/2013 21:19

amazingmumof6 · 05/06/2013 21:17

???????????????

bunting

Thumbtack · 05/06/2013 21:15

Yeah sorry about that! I thought I would shake things up a bit. But now I feel a bit deflated, my 99 year old Grannie died today - she was an amazing woman, bought 3 boys up in London, during the war by herself. God Rest Her Soul.

KittensoftPuppydog · 05/06/2013 21:15

So, what's occurring?

amazingmumof6 · 05/06/2013 21:13

Yes kitten

it's a lifestyle. it's Inthreadible!

Thumbtack · 05/06/2013 20:47

Roomfor1more · 05/06/2013 19:08

Blue you lucky lucky thing not seeing your MIL for so long. My own doesn't bother with us anymore and lives about 10 mins away from us here. Dh got a snotty text from her during the christmas holidays and that was it till the other day, telling him one of her family had passed away. I say nothing and intend to keep saying it! She said enough for us all when she was in our lives Sad

Thumbtack I feel all itchy now, yikes!

Roomfor1more · 05/06/2013 19:05

Thumbtack really???!! That's mad Ted! Dh is 9/7/77 Grin

hello peeps! I'm back, hope everyone is okay? my dh had a double hernia op over xmas - its surprising how common it it is - also apparantly hereditary.

scuse the typos - on phone again!

roomie is right bit sore for a week few days but should be okay.

Blueandwhitelover · 05/06/2013 18:10

Haven't seen first MIL for over twenty years and she has never met DS2 or DS3. (Mind you ex DH hasn't been seen either for 19 years).

I will be an amazing MIL I will check first on mumsnet for everything

Hope people are ok today, your bbq sounds nice-so does pizza. DS1 is home for a couple of nights so he is cooking pork steaks, mash and some kind of leek gratin.

there may be more toblerone in the fridge

What I was worried about at work has been sorted, I think,so that is a relief. It's such a great place to be.
