To pelt my cakes at this mum's head in the playground this afternoon? <fume>

The school are having a cake sale tomorrow and have BEGGED for donations of cakes. They have been Facebooking about how desperate they are all week as they want to make a dent in the £12,000 target needed for some new play equipment in the playground. One might think that flogging cakes at 30 pee each is not the way to make a dent but that's another thing...

I am pushed for time this week but I thought I could do some cornflake easter nests with some mini eggs on top as a quick alternative to baking and frosting two dozen fairy cakes. So I went out and bought the stuff (which I reckon cost more than they will get from the sales tbh) Then I replied to one of the FB begging messages saying "I will bring some cornflake easter nests tomorrow, will have about 40" Then one of the PTA wimmin replied "Ha ha! That's great but be prepared to take most of them home as they don't sell as well as real cakes."

Fuck. You. Bitch.

chocoflump, you've raised the bar. Cake-punching should now be performed as a retaliatory measure.

LittleBairn · 01/04/2013 00:49

You bad ass cake thumper. [bugrin]

chocoflump · 01/04/2013 00:02

I DONE IT!!!

Earlier in the shop, I was getting Milk, butter, a packet of crisps, a pack of yoghurts and a 6 pack of diet coke- the girl scanned them through, I paid then she just left them sitting on the counter, without even putting them in a bag! I asked her for a bag and she looked at me like I had asked her to run a bloody marathon. She put them in a bag, sighing, and I gave a massive enthusiastic thank you, walked away and on my way out I PUNCHED A CAKE!!

And it felt good GrinGrinGrin

On hols in Orlando......went to huge Wallmart last night (2am Brit time!!) and just stood transfixed in the cup cake/cake section. Kept hearing a voice whispering in my ear "do it for MN, punch an American cake".... Just couldn't do it. If I had there'd have been no stopping me, would have been carnage,ESP the mini cupcake trays!! bugrin

One of DDs friends commented on my use of the phrase naice ham while making sandwiches earlier.

Seems her mum is a mumsnetter. If so, and you are reading this, your daughter is lovely and cleaned up my dining room.Grin

littlemissbunny · 31/03/2013 19:01

I think we could have a mumsnet saying instead of ooh I could crush a grape..

Ooh I could punch a cake

MarthasHarbour · 31/03/2013 18:34

OMG fanjo [bushock]

GetOeuf · 31/03/2013 11:18

Lol at this! Especially fanjos two fingered Victoria sandwich poke

iZombie · 31/03/2013 11:11

I'm off to a mugging craft fair later. I shall teach the toddler to destroy those fucking cupcakes with their mountainous piles of buttershite.

What's wrong with butterfly buns eh? Eh?!

RubyGates · 30/03/2013 20:48

I shall purchase a suitable scarf forthwith. Grin

Sunnywithshowers · 30/03/2013 20:41

[bugrin] That is brilliant Fanjo. You are a legend.

AndFanjoWasHisNameO · 30/03/2013 20:22

Wink I'm in! Gave a fresh cream Victoria sponge a two fingered jab right through the middle in Morrisons earlier.
Would have gone unnoticed if the bloody plastic box hadn't cracked louder than a gunshot. Got several odd terrified looks from old ladies but as am massively pregnant they clearly all thought it best to just scurry past me Grin ooh it felt goooooood!

TotallyBursar · 30/03/2013 20:02

I am off to nethuns - if her thread is there I shall find it & shall answer in the affirmative.

Although it pains me to say it, as she is obviously in need of an attitude adjustment by means of a wedge of lemon omelette to the face - tsk for being mean about her fat arse. I too have an elegant sufficiency of thigh but it is purely coincidental to me being a git.

I am on tenterhooks for the school gate happenings after the holiday though - did she mention going on holibobs? That would truly be the punched icing on the cake for me.

Has anyone done a search on NetHuns for the anti-AIBU 'AIBU to be weally weally upset by a bitchy mum at the school usurping my position as PTA Uber Mum?'

RubyGates · 30/03/2013 16:32

Yep, anything "Enrobed" in chocolate deserves to be punched hard and then, and only then, eaten.

RubyGates · 30/03/2013 16:24

Mrs De Vere I live in Edmonton which I think is kind of (ish) near you

I'm actually at the MIL's in Thanet today though.

Katisha · 30/03/2013 16:18

Yes anything claiming to be enrobed in chocolate deserves to be punched.

Kiddlies??? Is there supposed to be a L in there? Kiddies is bad enough - it doesn't need an L as well.

I bought a swiss-roll type thing the other day, 'enrobed' in solid chocolate. I suggest punching one of those; they crack very satisfactorily, like the chocolate on a magnum ice cream.
