To pelt my cakes at this mum's head in the playground this afternoon? <fume>

The school are having a cake sale tomorrow and have BEGGED for donations of cakes. They have been Facebooking about how desperate they are all week as they want to make a dent in the £12,000 target needed for some new play equipment in the playground. One might think that flogging cakes at 30 pee each is not the way to make a dent but that's another thing...

I am pushed for time this week but I thought I could do some cornflake easter nests with some mini eggs on top as a quick alternative to baking and frosting two dozen fairy cakes. So I went out and bought the stuff (which I reckon cost more than they will get from the sales tbh) Then I replied to one of the FB begging messages saying "I will bring some cornflake easter nests tomorrow, will have about 40" Then one of the PTA wimmin replied "Ha ha! That's great but be prepared to take most of them home as they don't sell as well as real cakes."

Fuck. You. Bitch.

:(

£20 - who's up for a whip-round? We'll split the proceeds between Marmalade and the school.

Lucyellensmum95 · 28/03/2013 09:57

Maybe she is bribing the head with LDC and your kids will be in permanent detention?? Some mothers can be spiteful

minouminou · 28/03/2013 09:57

Yeah! Punch it. Sit on it and leave a bum print.

GetOeuf · 28/03/2013 09:57

I am going to buy one of those rude cushions for dd's room.

That makes me a terrible mother probably but I know she will hoot with laughter.

minouminou · 28/03/2013 09:56

Ooooooohhhhhh!!!!!!
It's gonna be good!
Did it look like a good one, or was it as sunken as the previous ones?

GetOeuf · 28/03/2013 09:56

PUNCH THE CAKE

PUNCH IT

I WILL GIVE YOU TWENTY POUNDS IF YOU DO

Poledra · 28/03/2013 09:54

God I neeeeed 'Fucksticks' bunting. But the DDs can all read now Sad

MarmaladeTwatkins · 28/03/2013 09:54

WTF? I don't wear nude coloured heels!

Anyway, I am most perplexed... I just took in my nests and there in the head's office was a lemon drizzle cake Confused Deffo hers because she always puts it into an M&S shortbread tin (to show off no doubt)

She must have had a change of heart!

As I was handing over a quid to DS this morning, for his end of term disco, I remembered that it is the day of the Apocalyptic Cake Sale........

Ah cannae wait, pet!

StealthPolarBear · 28/03/2013 09:52

oh hang on, is she the OP?

StealthPolarBear · 28/03/2013 09:51

Bupcakes is still around isn't she? And she's love;ly :(

drjohnsonscat · 28/03/2013 09:51

oooh cockadoodledoo, are you central London?

BTW am just rereading this thread to relish the full glory of it and noting that the OP was planning to make 40 cornflake cakes. 40!!! No wonder the PTA hate me - I buy make 6 at most. OP you are supreme among cake contributors and she can drizzle off.

Groovee · 28/03/2013 09:51

Looking forward to hearing if LDM turns up for the sale.

TobyLerone · 28/03/2013 09:49

Marmalade can do an excellent Daily Mail Sadface. I truly hope that happens, GetOeuf.

Also, who hasn't read Riders?!

WilsonFrickett · 28/03/2013 09:44

::sings in a Van Morrison stylee::

Oh it's a wonderful day for a bake sale
With the blue sk-y and the sun.
It's a marvellous day to say 'fuck you
Lemon drizzle, fuck you right up your bum'

Icelollycraving · 28/03/2013 09:44

God I'm ridiculously excited. Hope it's not a big let down where the update is we all got on well & sold out of everyones cakes. Hoping more for a lemon drizzle up the bum kind of result.

GetOeuf · 28/03/2013 09:41

There is going to be a headline in the DM tomorrow 'mums have fight over easter cakes at school fete - children traumatised'

And there will be marmalade all battered and bruised with nude coloured heels on.

Has anyone read Riders by Jilly Cooper? There is a scene in it where they all kick off at a country fair and end up lobbing cakes at each other and then get arrested. This is what I predict happens today.

GetOeuf · 28/03/2013 09:39

Yes, a marmalade flavoured twat. Grin

I love the bunting with cunt and tits.

Lucyellensmum95 · 28/03/2013 09:38

ooohhhhhh!

TobyLerone · 28/03/2013 09:33

So there was...

No idea what happened to her, but she was a bit of a Twat anyway :o

Lucyellensmum95 · 28/03/2013 09:31

Wasn't there a mnetter called Bupcakesandcunting?

Lucyellensmum95 · 28/03/2013 09:27

It is THIS day!!! why oh why oh why did i say i would take DD and a group of friends to soft play after school today - it would be rude to be checking my phone the whole time, even if i could get a bloody signal Angry

Please can we have this in classics, can we please??

Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2013 09:26

OP......I'm on training day (should be doing something constructive but this thread is great!)......haven't read whole lot.....yet.......but as a regular cake stall organiser, contributor and now on teaching staff, I know that crispy cakes ESP with eggs get eaten whereas lovingly decorated by an adult ( for adult appreciation) are generally licked a bit then dis guarded by the kids.
She's rude.

wetsand · 28/03/2013 09:12

A fine day for a bake sale, a very fine day indeed..

Ionasky · 28/03/2013 09:10

i can't seriously believe there's a woman out there who has a cake hierarchy and believes one cake is better than another! Why do we get so invested in flipping cake? Don't get it. Mind you, my baking is terrible.
