To pelt my cakes at this mum's head in the playground this afternoon? <fume>

The school are having a cake sale tomorrow and have BEGGED for donations of cakes. They have been Facebooking about how desperate they are all week as they want to make a dent in the £12,000 target needed for some new play equipment in the playground. One might think that flogging cakes at 30 pee each is not the way to make a dent but that's another thing...

I am pushed for time this week but I thought I could do some cornflake easter nests with some mini eggs on top as a quick alternative to baking and frosting two dozen fairy cakes. So I went out and bought the stuff (which I reckon cost more than they will get from the sales tbh) Then I replied to one of the FB begging messages saying "I will bring some cornflake easter nests tomorrow, will have about 40" Then one of the PTA wimmin replied "Ha ha! That's great but be prepared to take most of them home as they don't sell as well as real cakes."

Fuck. You. Bitch.

I have never punched a cake, to my knowledge but I do love to poke holes in pakaged fruit. The sort that are on a polystyrene tray with plastic over them. I like to see how many I can pop before the assistant spots me.
Unfortunately you don't seem to get that type of packaging so much now Sad.

I have never shook a trifle either. I prefer to go around turning them upside down. idiot

I had wine at lunchtime.

TobyLerone · 28/03/2013 15:01

Did you know that the French for 'touching cloth' is "J'ai un taupe au guichet" meaning "there's a mole at the checkout"?

It all comes full circle...

AllOverIt · 28/03/2013 15:00

Now that would have been funny, and perhaps a newspaper to pass the 2 seconds it took her to release... She must have been touching cloth surely!

Good luck Marm (you are now Marm like Barm because you are the queen of the cake sale)!

Refusing to watch that youtube clip as my first trimester gag reflex won't be able to handle any shit. Speedy or otherwise.

TobyLerone · 28/03/2013 14:38

Bollocks. I've just been to Sainsbury's and clean forgotten to punch a cake :(

Actual wee has just almost come out because of this:

GetOeuf · 28/03/2013 14:29

lol at going to saisnburys to actually buy food.

It is very cleverly done, that Whole Foods. They have a burger garnish package - which is just some beef tomatoes sliced, red onion and some lettuce all presented beautifully on a tray. For £3.50. And I nearly BOUGHT IT.

I paid a fortune for one cupcake for dd as well. It is very expensive, nice for treats though. I would have to be drunk to do a full shop there.

Sunnywithshowers · 28/03/2013 14:28

Dying at this thread, especially cake punching.

anklebitersmum · 28/03/2013 14:28

Go punch some sweaty cake's head in Grin

Lucyellensmum95 · 28/03/2013 14:25

Is it time?

BatmanLovesVodkaAndCherryade · 28/03/2013 14:18

I love the Whole Foods in Cheltenham. I go and look at all the lovely fruit, they way it's presented is like art, really it is.

Then I cross the car park to Sainsbo's and actually buy the fruit.

Please don't accidentally knock the lemon drizzle off the stall, OP, cos then that'll be a reason why it hasn't sold, rather than because it has been punched is shit.
