To wonder how many different ways you can come up with to say YABU to this

Just always fascinated by how a post that only seems to have one possible answer ie YANBU can be turned on its head, mis-read, mis-interpreted, taken out of context etc in order that the OP can be told they ABU.

So, to this perfectly obvious YANBU example how many ways can different posters find a YABU angle?

"I was standing at the bus stop yesterday and was first in the queue for the bus. After waiting about twenty minutes the bus came along and was pretty full. The driver said 'one passenger only' and the person behind me pushed me to one side and got on. AIBU to think this was rude, inconsiderate and downright cheeky and to wish I'd said something at the time?"

YABU - it was your own fault that you failed to notice the zombie horde that the other person had spotted and was clearly avoiding. How dare you be so lacking in basic zombie horde avoidance skills, OP? It's people like you that turn minor outbreaks into full on apocalypses! Angry

PastaBeeandCheese · 25/02/2013 18:31

The OP will be back any minute to drip feed that it was a parent and child bus and the pushy person didn't even have a child.

HazeltheMcWitch · 25/02/2013 18:25

Shag, biscuit's been done already.

In that case - FGS, OP, how do you know you're not invisible? In which case, how the jeff was she expected to see you? Hmm

HazeltheMcWitch · 25/02/2013 18:23
Biscuit
McNewPants2013 · 25/02/2013 18:23

yabu, why didn't you get a taxi. I bet your a very rich and don't really need to use the bus.

TheVermiciousKnid · 25/02/2013 18:21

I think MrsKoala has got it. YABU for posting a reverse AIBU.

SPBInDisguise · 25/02/2013 18:19

Was the other woman also breastfeeding in an aggressive manner?

MrsKoala · 25/02/2013 17:12

Is this a reverse aibu?

FeistyLass · 25/02/2013 17:04

YABVVU, you're assuming the other person was a mind reader. How was she supposed to know you were waiting for that bus? You might just have stopped for a rest or may have wanted a different bus.
I think you have deeper issues and suggest you post in a different part of MN that deals specifically with transport-linked neurosis. It's not all about you op.

MoonlightandRoses · 25/02/2013 16:58

Interesting that the OP hasn't been back for a while...

No is a complete sentence you know OP. why didn't you say no to her?

I'd have told her to fuck off to the far side of fuck and when she got there to fuck off some more.

Marks place

MrsKoala · 25/02/2013 16:42

I think its discusting your DH let you take the bus while he has the car? Is he always so EA?

CrapBag · 25/02/2013 16:28

YABVU, she clearly has SN rather than just being a rude entitled member of society.

QuietNinjaTardis · 25/02/2013 16:26

Yabu don't need a reason

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 25/02/2013 16:25

YANBU to wish you had something at the time, if you would have liked to.

mackerella · 25/02/2013 16:22

Are you new, OP? Interesting first post on MN...

Anyway, I note that you conveniently forgot to mention in your OP that the queue skipper was using a wheelchair and you were obviously the kind of selfish arse who would refuse to fold up your massive, tank-like pram, so it's no wonder she felt she had to push past you to get the only wheelchair space on the bus...

shockers · 25/02/2013 16:08

Actually, he was delivering a vital organ, in a cool box, for emergency life saving surgery and NHS cutbacks meant he couldn't afford a helicopter, but you were so busy feeling offended you didn't even notice his cool box did you? Well... did you?

People like you make me so cross.

atthewelles · 25/02/2013 15:53

Well, yes, SPB I like everything dainty in my house and I don't like people who skip queues. So what?

OP posts:
TheVermiciousKnid · 25/02/2013 15:45

YABU. Leave the bus.

SPBInDisguise · 25/02/2013 15:38

And I bet while you're off in their shoes they're having to wear some fluffy slippers you keep in a basket by the door for guests.

MoonlightandRoses · 25/02/2013 15:38

Here, have my very first Biscuit OP - not only do you post about having been angry at a more deserving case than you getting on the bus, you then try to pull the drip feed card with your non-driving and "...spend so much time walking...in other people's shoes" comments. You really should have mentioned these facts in your OP, bit suspicious they only emerge when no-one is agreeing with you.

Oh, and, YABU. Grin

atthewelles · 25/02/2013 15:34

Okay, so I can't drive. But that's because I spend so much time walking a mile in other people's shoes Sad.
