I know Im not the only one.

I cant even be arsed to name change, here goes.

Nervous fanny.

You know when someone falls - hard and cracks their chin or elbow or whatever, my stomach drops, I get a shot of anxiety that shoots through the pit of my stomach down to my fanny. Right in the middle of my fanny I get a horrible feeling of anxiety.

Its only started in the last few years, its really unpleasant. Its like a bolt of aniexty, and I ONLY get it when someone hurts themselves. Wtf is that all about?

Anyway, what weird shit does your body do? Confess.

Oooh I get so many of these!

GreenEggs nipple post made me think of this one... When I bf my baby, out of nowhere I get an urge to cry Confused. I never actually have, I just feel like I am about to. Weird.

laudinum · 22/07/2012 18:31

Tapir. We had a close one today. dh was driving, turning right at a junction and looking the other direction at someone he recognised.

I swear my bum said wtf as it did an emergency brake.

garlicbutter · 22/07/2012 18:28

Yes to metaphorical arse cheeks on brakes, laudinum! I think I'd prefer to call it "bracing myself" ... though, thinking about it, I'm not entirely sure a clenched bum offers any protection in the event of impact Wink

Arse-brake-foot it is, then.

TapirBackRider · 22/07/2012 18:24

laudinum There's no metaphorical about it - I phantom brake every time that I'm a passenger in a car; it's been 16yrs since I've been able to drive!

laudinum · 22/07/2012 18:15

Yes to nervous fanny and javelin arse but does anyone else get wobble womb? please say yes

It feels as if lots of small hands lift your uterus and go flubflubflub with it but really quickly?

Finally, does anyone else put their foot on the brake with their entire arse cheeks when someone else is driving and they do an emergency stop? Metaphorically.

whatinthewhatnow · 22/07/2012 18:05

javeline arse! I have this and have always thought I'm the only one. Another question then:

did anyone else's labour basically consist of 5 hours of javeline arse? Because mine did. It was fucking awful. When I get my occasional bouts of javeline arse now I am immediately taken back to the labour room.

I get a thing where I think a drop of water/a bird shit has landed on my forehead. It's unbelievably realistic.

Sometimes it my eyes side to side, sort of vibrating for about 2 seconds. I think its the optical verson of a stuck CD.

kickingKcurlyC · 22/07/2012 17:42

Oh good! Glad I'm not the only one Chief!

ChiefCleanerandPickerupper · 22/07/2012 16:28

kickinK I get the joints thing especially in my fingers also the vag bubble and patfenis I get paralyasis when I drink alcohol (do you know me!) I've had scans and tests for epilepsy etc. and saw a neurologist for a while, noone could give me an explanation Confused

SPsFanjoLovesRussellHoward · 22/07/2012 15:58

I get static shocks from everything. I hate having to press a lift button as it always shocks me.

kickingKcurlyC · 22/07/2012 15:49

I cannot believe Alice in Wonderland syndrome is an actual thing! I thought it was just my brain being weird!

I am very pleased not to suffer from javelin arse. Shock

One weird thing I do, is that my joints feel like they build up with pressure sometimes, and I have to tense and bend them, so they pop, which releases it. Nobody else has mentioned that.

Fiendishlie · 22/07/2012 14:58

SuddenlyMadameGlamour, yes (sorry I don't want to lower the kind-of lighthearted thread) My migraines have seriously affected the quality of my life. I have never found an effective treatment ( Envy at those for whom Migraleve works!). I get them when I am under pressure or stressed, so I have acheived far less than I should have in exams, or in challenging situations at work, for example.
Sad

Chubfuddler · 22/07/2012 08:31

I just had a phantom baby kick so hard my stomach shook. I just had a damned good poke about but I can't feel a baby in there. I hope.

onmehols · 22/07/2012 08:15

Twitchy eye anyone? People say you cant see it but ive looked in the mirror and you can. I also get a feeling in the arch of my foot as if it will split if I walk normally so i have to walk with my foot scrunched up.

FrankieAndArthur · 22/07/2012 08:08

Oh and I get the phantom smells thing, especially in my dreams.
The two main ones are smoke and I have to get up to check nothing is burning, and an aftershave. Despite no one in the house using it.

FrankieAndArthur · 22/07/2012 08:05

I have very slight nerve damage on my left leg and occasionally I get the sensation that the front of my thigh is wet. It feels really real and I have to check despite knowing it is fake.

I also get the thing where you scratch one place but feel it in another.

I have a small hole in the roof of my mouth which I can suck air through and sort of 'whistle'.

When I am very stressed, and usually just before a Migraine, I will be convinced to the state of anxiety that I have left the house undressed. Part of me knows it is irrational and the bother part has to pat my clothes until that part of my brain recognises I am dressed.

Sometimes when I get out of bed in the morning, I get what feels like electric shocks in my toes. And it hurts!

Timepasses · 22/07/2012 08:03

I have suffered with javelin arse since I was a child. Glad i now know the correct medical termGrin

I also get a pain in the same tooth whenever i have any type of illness.

It is comforting to know I am not the only one who has these strange pains.

SuddenlyMadameGlamour · 22/07/2012 07:42

Migraines are scary aren't they fiend? I had had them for years and never seen the doctor as I knew what they were cos my mum got them, but when I started getting them frequently so went to gp. They immediately panicked and took me straight off the combined pill cos the combination puts you at a much greater risk of stroke (only if you have aura symptoms)! Was very annoying as it was the only thing that helped with my troublesome periods, and have never been able to get on with progesterone only. I even asked if I could go back on it at my own risk but they wouldn't let me. Sad

Seems daft as when I first went on the pill I smoked 20/day and much less fit and active than I am now. And I still had migraines they just never thought to ask! Grin

Fiendishlie · 22/07/2012 00:07

I also have the 'stroke-like' symptoms with migraine. My consultant told me it was because a migraine is a compression of the blood vessels in the brain, a stroke being a blockage or a bleed, so very similar in extreme cases.
My DS sneezes in sunlight.
I get the mini orgasms and also the sleep ones, I think of it as a female wet-dream.
One other person upthread mentioned the black and white patterns seen when a loud noise is heard when my eyes are shut. Very weird!
I'm another who cannot burp. Ever. Gets annoying sometimes. I fart a lot

Whiteworm · 21/07/2012 22:54

Also cannot bear chalk, velvet boart rubbers, cheap felt tip pens that squeak when a child presses too hard. My arms goosebump and I cannot stand it. I had to ask the mother (luckily a friend) whose child was colouring in at the dinner table to stop. It is so bad I cannot put up with it.

Whiteworm · 21/07/2012 22:51

LaQueen my mum does that too! I get a shooting stabbing pain in my in one of my breasts. Always hoped it was a growing pain. Sadly not. But it hurts so much it makes me wince and groan out loud.

Also if I am parking and feel nervous because people are waiting for me, my right leg starts shaking uncontrollably.

claudedebussy · 21/07/2012 22:47

Sparklegeek i also get the elastic band pinging in my neck! it's awful. glad i'm not alone - there are 2 of us now.

i also get pins and needles in my hands if i get a shock, like trip or miss a step. very annoying. it only happens a couple of seconds after i get the shock so i spend that time anticipating the pins and needles, which somehow makes it worse...

aurynne · 21/07/2012 22:25

LaQueen, I think your mum also has echolalia... when somebody catches me repeating or mimicking what somebody else said, I also feel incredibly embarrassed and upset. Please be understanding to her :)

SummerRain · 21/07/2012 20:12

Just remembered another. a few years ago I started getting tiny red dots all over my arms and torso. Teeny tiny little blood spots, if i gently scrape them with a nail they disappear and then another tiny drop of blood comes to the surface. But more bizarrely I have a huge cluster of them on my left knee, it looks like a fresh graze/blood bruise.... sometimes it fades and is barely visible, other times it's really bad. Can't take aspirin as I get thousands of the blood spots and panic!

Fiveflowers · 21/07/2012 19:58

Not me this time but my Dad. If he was coming down with something, for several days before, he'd lose is memory. Very weird and worrying for him.
