Sorry am on phone so apologies if this makes no sense but he was doing t-Rex in Asda so i slapped his arm (not hard obviously) and he got really cross and said he'd stand however he wants and stormed off. It was really embarrassing as loads of people were staring and he'd told me to remind him anyway! He's acting like nothing has happened now. Aibu to not just let it drop?

Oh great, it's the return of T-Rex! 🦖 cracks me up every time. 😂

I alluded to it with misty-eyed fondness on another thread this morning. Wonder if that's what sparked the revival?

Oh @FrankieAnne thank you for this timeless gem. I do wonder how T Rex, mole, Spiderman and owl are progressing now, so many years later.

This is the best thing I’ve ever read on MN! 🤣

Gilead · 16/01/2023 23:52

It’s come up in ‘threads I’m on’ so I was on it too!

Sparklingbrook · 16/01/2023 22:44

I was on it when it started in June 2012, but had to AS myself to see what I was saying. Grin MN was a lot more fun back then by the looks of it-this thread wouldn't even happen now.

stayathomer · 16/01/2023 22:18

Just saw this and actually started smiling remembering the thread!!!

BoadiceaOverall · 14/01/2023 12:23

I love how the OP's replies get funnier and funnier as the thread progresses. 😂

sashh · 14/01/2023 02:54

I love it when someone new discovers this thread.

RestingMurderousFace · 14/01/2023 00:23

Genuinely crying in bed 😂😂😂

2Gen · 20/01/2022 17:29

I've had an even-more-stressful-than-usual 24 hours and have escaped into this thread for a break. It's cheered me up no end so thanks OP and to all of ye for that! The Marc Bolan lyric ones really cracked me up, I love that sort of thing, hehehe!
I thought my DH was mad as as a box of frogs but your OH sounds absolutely metal OP! I can't blame you for snapping and farting...I mean slapping, him! Why does he cuddle groceries?? Which sort? Carrots? Tins of tomatoes? Or does he like crushing crisps in their packets, lol?

Tay17 · 20/01/2022 15:53

This thread is amazing 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Lifeismeh · 20/01/2022 15:36

I wasn’t aware of this thread but lord it’s excellent.

stayathomer · 20/01/2022 15:27

I opened this thread, remembered it and sputtered!! Hope all is well OP!!

JugglingJanuary · 20/01/2022 15:10

I've been thinking about this thread for a wee while. I had an accident last year and I still can't stretch my arms. I look like a t-Rex!! I have a few t-Rex t shirts now that 'friends' gave me! One says 'I'd clap...but' cracks me up!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 20/01/2022 15:09

Gosh we nearly lost it! Shock

Glad it's not only been reinstated but also put in Classics, where it belongs.

Always makes me laugh, this one.

ZZTopGuitarSolo · 20/01/2022 15:07

OP I love you.

Gonnagetgoing · 20/01/2022 14:37

Aside from the fact this person is mad in a nice way if you scroll her past posts she doesn't seem to have a son but she does appear to have a 'ha ha funny' partner so he must've been doing T Rex in the supermarket - whatever that is - roaring, stomping around - maybe bashing other shoppers with his willy?! Shock

AllTheColoursOfGerberas · 20/01/2022 14:11

Was he riding a white swan at the time?

Abra1d1 · 20/01/2022 14:11

T-Rex-ing is what some neurodivergent people call the way they hold their arms and hands.

Theroughoperator · 20/01/2022 13:27

Oops typo

Theroughoperator · 20/01/2022 13:27

@Travelbug2

First owl noises now a T-Rex.

What’s next…..

no not now a T Rex 9 and a half years ago a T Rex. How and why did you resurrect such an thread such old thread @CallMeDaphne?
Hawkins001 · 20/01/2022 13:19

Just thought I remembered this story, and realised it's a classic

Russell19 · 20/01/2022 13:04
