Calling all overseas MNers - My lovely boy has written some letters

He's 7, and is quite taken by stamps.
He's written several letters (I'll give you an example in a minute), and I wondered if there might be some MNers in foreign parts who might help him :)

Here is one of his letters ( in very best joined-up writing:))

Dear Jamaica

If I writ you a letter, please will you send me one back, so I can see your stamps.
I am from England (Great Britan)
Good luck in the Olympics
Love from Allyouneed Junior.

There are similar letters for several countries, and his plan is to put them in an envelope with the country name on the outside, and several stamps.

Would anyone be able to send him a letter with a stamp on?
Thank you. He would be the happiest boy in the world!

I think you've got New Zealand covered but, if not, PM me.

I've got stamps from France, the US, Russia, Holland, Germany, the Phillippines and Austria if you want them. And loads from the UK! PM me if you want them sent. I've been saving them for ages for some reason.
I'm going to France and Holland soon, so I could send postcards from there.

I wonder if I could ask my cousin- she's French and five, nearly six- to be a penpal....I mean they could send each other pictures?

coldcoffeeinthemorning · 13/06/2012 08:42

If you'd like a postcard from Finland I am happy to help :)

Awww, this is lovely. I am no help to you as I live in England and won't be leaving the country this year, but I hope he really enjoys all his post.

Wilding · 13/06/2012 08:21

One of my friends has just come back from there - wish I'd seen this earlier! I'll get posting this week...

AllYouNeedIsAClickyBallpoint · 13/06/2012 08:16

Wilding :o DH said last night that he bet no-one would answer from Kazakhstan!
He also mentioned Azerbaijan, so we'll wait and see!

I'm in Kazakhstan - PM me if you think he'd like a letter from here! Mind you the postal service is a bit dodgy so it might take a while to arrive Grin

Shodan · 13/06/2012 07:49

I haven't seen South Africa here (although it is early for me and I may have missed it). I could ask MIL if she can ask one of her friends to send a letter if you like? Or she may have some stamps knocking about already. PM me anyway.

AllYouNeedIsAClickyBallpoint · 13/06/2012 07:29

Again, thank you so much everyone :o
I cannot believe the response I've had!

sashh · 13/06/2012 07:03

I can't help on the stamps thing but have you considered the travelling teddy bear? Probably better to use a school address or a PO Box.

Basically Teady starts off with a message, usually from a class of primary school kids. Teady is passed on via people travelling abroad where he/she has adventures and sends pictures, or in your case post cards with stamps, before he goes on to his next destination. He/she usually has a back pack containing a notebook so people who host teddy, or help with travel can write about who they are.

Sometmes he travels alone in the hold of a plane, but mostly he hitches a lift with someone travelling from his current location to the next one.

When his log book is full he returns home.

TeddyBare · 13/06/2012 06:56

I'm in German and Switzerland for the next 8 weeks. PM me if I can help.

Longdistance · 13/06/2012 06:54

Oh, and I have some spare stamps in my purse with tropical fish on if he wants them?

Longdistance · 13/06/2012 06:51

I live in Oz. PM me if you like x
