i am vaguely intrigued by these as identified in teh times
"Discarded notes are rubbish to most people, but not for worldwide subscribers to Found, which reprints them. The magazine?s publisher, Davy Rothbart, gets bundles sent to his office in Michigan. Laura Kwerel, a radio producer in Washington, was ?overwhelmed? after reading one issue. ?I realise now,? she says, ?that there is more humanity in a discarded grocery list than in a thousand-page novel.? Some people need to get out more. "

spreadable butt -please, please, please let Mumsnet towers use this as the title they stick in on Discussions of the Day on the homepage. what a lovely thought - must send an arse card "Congratulations on your spreadable butt!"

ShaysMummy · 30/01/2006 19:00

Hazellnut · 30/01/2006 18:58

alexsmum · 30/01/2006 18:10

yeah doesn't sound toom child friendly.but very impressive!
i like waitrose- lovely food and everything but SO expensive.

puff · 30/01/2006 18:02

hmmm - we don't see her now fil is dead. Tbh, it was very stressful visiting with 2 toddlers. Massive sweeping stairs, too wide for stairgates. Loads of doors into grounds often left onlocked (large lake in grounds). Door to indoor pool often left unlocked too.

BearintheBigBlueHouse · 30/01/2006 18:00

there's nothing like a new Wiatrose is there? Wide aisles. In house pizzeria. Kilometres of wine shelves. Nice.

alexsmum · 30/01/2006 17:58

must be nice going to stay though if she has a pool

puff · 30/01/2006 17:56

She's hilarious - she does actuallly speak like the Queen!

alexsmum · 30/01/2006 17:52

i'm going to tesco soon-quite looking forward to looking for lists!

alexsmum · 30/01/2006 17:51

next to the swimming pool?
who is your mil? the queen??

SoupDragon · 30/01/2006 17:50

OUrs is clearly a posh Waitrose though Bear. Actually, it's only been open about 16 months so I'm guessing the staff are still keen. There are very rarely any items of rubbish at all left in the trolleys near the store.

puff · 30/01/2006 17:50

alexsmum - you are right, my step MIL bought builders tea and builders bog roll for the workmen. They were allowed to use the kitchen and loo next to the swimming pool.

Kelly1978 · 30/01/2006 17:48

or posh for the one that guests see?
or crap for the kids?

alexsmum · 30/01/2006 17:46

i have a theory about the crap and posh loo roll-posh for the en-suite bathroom, crap for the cloakroom that gets used by the builders?

babyonboard · 30/01/2006 17:22

ooh troupout...
so its you who has the crap nd posh loo roll then..teeehheeeee

what's an arsecard and what does one do with it (at the risk of inviting the obvious suggestion), does one buy it like paper "I'll have an A4 pad, and a big sheet of arsecard, please" - or is it a greetings card that one send to one's arse on Arse Day? "Happy Arse Day, Arse, thanks for the great job you've done all year"

I'm interested.

TambaTheTemptress · 30/01/2006 17:06

Nope was in wilkinsons this morning!

I thought it was very ing myself!

BearintheBigBlueHouse · 30/01/2006 17:04

Tamba, you're just pissing around aren't you, some people take this quest very seriously. That list's too good to be f'real
